    Because marquez is a defensive fighter and counter puncher. Pacs feeds off aggresion. Marquez is too patient and waits for the right timing. Cotto is a brawler and that goes well with Pacs style. When Cotto gets frustrated his defense goes down and thats what Pac will do is frustrate him with his speed IMO.

    If Cotto is a brawler....then what other BRAWLER would you compare his fight style too? And show me a Cotto fight where he BRAWLED

    marquez got a tough chin not even floyd who is a welterweight could stop marquez. Anyways cotto is not a good counter puncher which what gave pacquiao problems. But that example you use is all wrong. Just cuz pac couldn't KO marquez does not mean he can't KO cotto.

    no way in hell Cotto is a Brawler....

    now tell me whom you would compare cotto's style too and please show me a fight in which Cotto was a brawler?:huh

    Marquez isnt that great of a counter puncher..he is good, but people act as if he is this supreme counter puncher..& cotto has a better offensive arsenal.

    Better Jab, Boddy Attack, right hand, foot movement....

    Juan Diaz was battering JMM around the ring.

    Cotto has faced wayyyyyy bigger punchers than Pac so tell me please how Cotto wont be able to take Pac's punches?

    I'd agree he's not a brawler, just looks like it sometimes because he puts his combos together well.

    I pray that the little Philipino doesn't get badly hurt in this one.
    My guess is that those oversize shades that badly battered fighters seem to favour nowadays will be worn for a good week after the pummeling he's likely to take.

    My official prediction ^

    Agree 100%.

    Cotto has delt with hand speed (Mosley).

    The mix of foot speed and stamina will be the toughest task for Cotto.

    Cotto can counter and Pac hasnt faced a good counterer since JMM. This will be a big factor!

    After much pondering, I still cant bet against Cotto!
