But his bias may make project the buys much higher. I think it will be around 1.1M, give or take.

    edit for typo.

Most watched ever was 2.4 mil.

Wtf they saying 1.5 is the record for?

1.5m is amazing, but it's .9 under the record.

    Seriously.

In Manila, all cinemas were filled up last weekend.

There are about 60 cinemas in Metro Manila.

A cinema theater holds what, 300 to 400 viewers. There are on the average 8 theaters per cinema.

    That alone makes 192,000 buys.

That does not even count the provincial cinemas, and home and sports bar PPVs.

I think all of these will easily add up to 500,000 buys and being conservative at that.

The 1.5m ppv figure been touted about is just for US domestic buys and not oversea buys.

If it's 1.5, cool. This just made a Floyd v Pac fight even bigger, with recent numbers from both sides to prove it. That fight could realistically surpass 3 million buys.

The final numbers will be about 800k-900k IMO based on the ongoing interest in the fight and the economy.

Excellent numbers if true. Should rule out the purse split as a possible issue in the next round of negotiations for Pac-Mayweather, and give Mayweather one less excuse to try and avoid the fight again.
