Even after he TKO'd the guy,what a coward..Hopefully he'll fight his next fight "get a gift decision" then finally fight Floyd for his last fight and end his career losing to Floyd.

I gave Cotto round 5 and round 10

 

cotto won one later round but i forgot which round it is. it's like when he took off the pedal in round 10 of the bradley fight. round 1 imo is a toss-up but all the 3 judges officially gave it to cotto.

 

watch round 5 also. There is no possible way I could see Pac winning that round either. He had one flurry that did good in the middle of the round and that was it.

And he would have a gameplan this time. Last time it was "bully Pacquiao" then when that didn't work because he was getting hit with shots he didn't see he retreated.

Yeah Mosley caught him flush with many overhand rights too.

Him going to the inside is what made his Mayweather fight so damn good imho. Best fight of the year to me.

I remember Steward showing Cotto pics of him crouching against Pacq and speaking of how he should use his size. He looked like a crab then lol.

:deal Not to say Pacq can't beat him but with all these requests for CW's he obviously doesn't have faith to fight fighters at their true weights.

Solid,solid post as usual Leon. Will go back to Bradley-Pacquiao possibly but I am just so disappointed in Pacq's performance.

Remember against Margo in the first fight he stayed close to him too long aswell which lead to his undoing. Footwork should be utilized more such as pivots and taking away the angles his opponent can throw and uppercut from while keeping his guard tight.

 

Pacquiao fought a horrible version of Cotto for 2 reasons:

1) The catch weight was HUGE, cotto had chicken legs in this fight. Strong legs are extremely important. Legs affect punch resistance, movement, and strength.
2) Cotto had a terrible trainer and terrible game plan. He basically trained himself and showed terrible lateral movement in the fight. As we all know, Pacquiao struggles against effective lateral movement and counter punching.

For those who don't know the effect of the catch weight, look at the legs... it's night and day.
