pacquaio vs jmm 5 this years highest grossing ppv ?

no one wanted to see mayweather vs ghost, but it did nearly a million buys. fact is mayweather and pac are marketed to non hardcore fans and not their opponents, hardcore fans will buy whatever crap either of them fight...should one fight a formidable opponent such as mayweather did vs canelo, then you get the true numbers :deal

we have seen these guys fight 4 times allready..

all 4 times it has been exciting

all 4 times it has been competitive

yet because bob arum wont stack the undercard you cant expect mass buys

also coupled with the fact manny has lost his aura of invincibility

bob arum stated they needed a 4th fight because we have yet to have a definitive winner, not sure how more definitive you can get with a brutal KO, but owell can we add that to the list of roadblocks arum has put up ?

 

now if only we could get manny to test himself against opponents we actually thought he had a chance of losing against like canelo he may do huge numbers

instead manny lost his star power and a big part of his marketability fighting bradley and getting robbed (bob arums stupidest decision to rob his own star fighter because he THOUGHT manny was not going to resign, now that he has he has a cash cow thats not worth quite as much) and got knocked out by what was essentially when you break it down a cherry pick gone wrong

kept having close competetive fights the 3rd and 4th were blatent "pull the old guy up in weight so we can dominate him, if it was an even fight when you were both younger and naturally the same weight we should be able to bury the hatchet now"

if pac did not shoot down an offer even the biggest pacquiao fans will agree was a great offer in the first round of negotiations from floyd he may have just had one of the best wins in boxing history on his allready impressive resume, or maybe if he did not let bob arum make numerous pathetic excuses in november 2011 till late feb 2012 while floyd chased the fight


sorry mate but mannys star is fading dramatically and who knows if the fact his last fight was in macau was the main reason why it flopped so badly on ppv, its hard to believe he lost close to 500k ppv buys (going on his average) because the fight was in china (yet aired at a time that would suit the U.S).
