Pac man has beat De La Hoya and Hatton more convincingly than mayweather, but I will still say it, Floyd would beat pacman, he has the best defense in the sport and would pot shot pacman all night. Like it or not Floyds king.

This argument about Pacquiao beating the same guys that Mayweather fought in a more convincing fashion is a lot of bull****. Pacquiao fought a totally different De La Hoya to the one Mayweather face. Same could be said about Hatton, although I don't think I could argue that too fervently.

They're both outstanding fighters, but I think Mayweather's defensive guile would negate Pacquiao's 'all action' style, and he'd get a points decision.

I think it would be an interesting fight.

Mayweather's the naturally bigger man, and unlike Hatton, he's fast enough with hands and feet to match Pac, while also being very crafty instead of the crude directness we saw last night. His best punch is also the right-straight, which most people happen to regard as the most effective punch to use against a southpaw...and we've seen another counter-puncher (Marquez) give Pac a tough time before.

That being said, how would the long layoff impact Mayweather as a whole? Is he the same fighter? How would Pac's southpaw stance and speed upset Mayweather's usual style? (Note what the far lesser fighter Judah managed to do with these two weapons before being broken down.)

I would love to see the fight.

I dont think so.Mayweather would run and potshot his way to a boring decision and then Floyd would cry after the fight when Merchant criticizes his performance.

  7. I hope so. PBF can't keep having 18 months off between fights. He can't help himself but come back. One day he'll wish he hadn't. I cant stand the wanker. Hope pacman finishes him.

i still dont credit his win over a weight drained and tired de la hoya, as high as mayweathers, but his hattons win was certainly more creditable than mayweathers seem as though hatton usually a beast at 140 and he fought mayweather at 147

There will be a lot of threads like this, so I will have me say.

Hatton is not Mayweather, and even the most advanced formulas do not work in boxing.

I think it could be a good fight, but I would not bet the house on Pac.

Mayweather has better footwork, defense, ring intelligence and defense. That's enough to beat Pac. Rewatch JMM-Pac 2

De La Hoya gassed against Floyd. He's always gassed but the old version of Oscar that Floyd fought gassed even faster. And like Roach said De La Hoya couldn't pull the trigger anymore by the time he fought Floyd.

, counter punching, hit and move , mayweather is a master of the philly shell defense pac would throw 80% of his punchs and miss most of the rest of them when flyods on the back foot, to many people on here are fooled by the way pac got rid of hatton who was basically just asking for those shots jumping in, no way on earth PAC WILL OUTCLASS FLYOD!!!!!

    1. Pac can match and exceed PBF's speed. His style would be something PBF had never seen.
    2. Pac is deceptively powerful and PBF would not be able to slip all of his angles like he does against inferior fighters.
    3. Pac has a very good chin.
    4. Roach is one of the most underrated trainers ever.
    5. Pac is the hungrier guy.
