Thats not even close of what i said about "always". You need to read it again. Either that or go look in a dictionary if you don't understand it. Title belts are in the weight limit. I never say that title fights never happen in a catch weight in which you think i'm trying to say that. A champion don't need to defend it if it's at a catch weight. Will Pacquiao be defending his number 1 p4p title in which if Cotto wins, he'll be officially the ring magazine number 1 p4p king?

actually that could be true. at first pac announced that the belt is not that important but after some filipino fans in pac's site calling for a title fight, team pac might have changed their tune and now wants a title fight.

Thats fine and dandy that in the history of the sport, people have fought at catchweights for titles. However, it was agreed upon by both sides. The case here is that...what happens when its not agreed upon? When it a catch weight fight cannot be worked out if where both participants agree that the belt is on the line or not....then the default should be that the belt aint up for grabs. Catchweights aren't the norm...and they shouldn't be. There are enough weight classes as is.

As I said...Pacquiao cannot limit what weight Cotto can weigh in ....if he doesn't agree to it. If he does fine. Cotto aint ok with it, so the title aint on the line. Cotto feels he won it without a cap on the limit of 147, so if Pacquio wants it, he shouldn't limit him. I agree with Cotto here.

IMHO, Manny should buy out his contract. He doesn't need Arum anymore, he's the cash cow and he doesn't need a promoter.

Arum continues to give Pac the shaft, he did it in the Hatton fight and he's doing it again with Cotto.

Exactly. When Cotto won title belts, was it at a catch weight? Hell no.

maybe, boycotting sounds dumb but most pac fans are disappointed that this is not a title fight. and message boards and fans opinions are sometimes acknowledged by promoters. take for instance when pac was suppose to fight diaz after barrera rematch but fans clamored for pac to take jmm's belt first at 130 before moving up. arum did followed the fan's request on this one.

But didn't follow the fans request when mostly everyone wanted Pacquiao to fight Marquez right away for a rubber match. So instead Pacquiao went up in weight to face the weakest champion in Diaz.

If the two sides cant agree, there is no fight, a default resolution does not
exist. Nothing has been signed. By anyone.

For the record, my personal view on it is since Cotto agreed to get down to 145, Pac should agree to not have title on the line, on principal.
