Bratley's own home town newspaper score 119-109 http://www.mydesert.com/article/201...o-fight-round-by-round-recap?odyssey=obinsite Whats your take?
They're just as incompetent at scoring a fight as anyone else who gave the fight 119-109 ? They have the exact same card as Harold Lederman - I wonder which broadcast they were watching? I mean, check out the Round 1 synopsis. "Pacquiao more aggressive in the round" Uhm? He threw less than half the punches, was the one fighting on the back foot and did hardly anything before the 2:30 mark.
I had it 119 to 109 Pacman. I could have given Bradley 3 rounds at most. Round 1 Bradley was doing well, then I felt Manny Stole the round with some big left hands. BRADLEY did nothing To win the fight. He pumped a weak ass jab and landed some shots here and there. Pac dominated him, and almost finished him at one point. Bradley didnt outbox ****, and he knew he lost the fight.
His hometown could have had it 120-108 what difference does it make? There are only 3 judges scorecards who count so you can get a million ppl who score it for Pac its not gonna change the result time to move on...
You seem to have your own problems scoring a fight. Bradley did NOT throw anything clean nor effective.....this is the hurt game. Don't mistake being "active" for being aggressive. For the majority of that fight, Bradley was active...actively trying to stay out of harms way. This is what people mean when they say he was throwing pitter patter punches. This wasn't marquez countering with venom...this was a guy in survival mode throwing soft-assed "stay-away-from-me" jabs into the gloves of someone who was beating his ass up.
Bradley may not have thrown anything clean and effective but at least he threw. The problem you seemingly have is that you reward Pacquaio for throwing and landing three clean shots while completely missing who controlled the pace of the round, who landed more shots and who threw over twice the shots within the round. The judges have even come out and pointed out that Pacquaio's lack of activity is what cost him, so realistically you have all the insight you need to know about NSAC's judgement criteria there. And Bradley with Venom? Everyone knew prior to the fight he wasn't a big hitter, so we're going to penalise him for landing clean shots on someone but not having power? OK, so boxing becomes all about who hits the hardest - I guess David Tua is an ATG then.
GTFO out man. You really think Pac landed only 3 clean shots per round? He did outland Bradley by 100 punches.Yeah Bradley has no power, but he is also known to be a pressure fighter who wears you down. Well he got beat in his own game, and got pummeled every time he tried to get macho. You can't penalized Pac for being inactive for 2 minutes when in that same 2 minutes you gotta a guy fighting in survival mode....what you award someone for fighting like a *****? What is this a track meet or a fight?
Difference being, Mike Jones got knocked down and then knocked out. If Manny had done that with the 200 (lol.. uh huh) power shots he landed and put Bradley down in two rounds, he'd have won on all cards.
In the first round, he did only land 3 clean shots - in subsequent rounds, his performance improved. What I was pointing out was how stupid the commentary from that website was and how bad the scoring was.
Its not amateur boxing dude. Clean EFFECTIVE power shots count and DO sway rounds. Obviously Pacs power kept Timmy from doing what he does best, fighting inside. Manny did the same thing every round, walk Bradley down in a straight line and crack his jaw with hard left hands.
