The sigificance of JMM's abs muscles I would guess is headmovement!;)

This is definitely Manny's last fight at 130, he's really weight drained and I think it'll affect him if the fight make it to the latter rounds.

Didn't he have the choice of fighting at 135 for this fight if he wanted? If he had the choice to fight at 135, then it will be his fault for fighting at a weight he cannot longer make.

Maybe he (has been doing it and) feels that he can manage the weigh problems (draining) and he's probably (has been) taking advantange of that.

Anyway, I hope both fighters are in great shape so we can have a great fight.

Manny has been draining for a long time. You'd think that someone who started at such a low weight would cruise into 130, but he's now outgrowing even that.

Assuming he's in top shape, I think he'll land 2 power shots to 1 on Marquez and hit JMM with some punches he doesn't see coming. Still, it isn't difficult to imagine Marquez's technical superiority proving crucial.

    Should be a great night!

I think Manny can still comfortably make 130 if he wanted to.

But I heard Freddie Roach say that he wants Manny to have as big a weight advantage against his opponents as possible.

Team Pac were probably preserving their big weight advantage by not trying to lose body and muscle mass through training just to reach 130. They just wanted to cut weight and make 130, then go back to 140+ pounds ASAP.

They were trying to time the weight loss perfectly.

At his fighting weight a couple of days before weigh in,
then a couple of days of food-water reduction,
cut enough weight to make 130 come official weigh in,
then rehydrate and get back to 140+pounds come fight night.

Sure, but you're still talking about close to a 10% weight gain all by water. That's a lot. As I was saying, though, Pac has been hurting to get down his entire career, so this is nothing new.

If he demonstrates the form he had for Morales II (his best fight, IMO), he should come out on top.

from the pictures i'd say JMM looks better, he's been training near the target weight a lot longer than Pac was. But we all know how Pac is on fight night.

I've seen Pac look worst for a fight. In this weight in he looks very good.

Weight has been an issue for PAC but never on fight night. If your trying to find a weakness in his preperation it isn't making weight.

pac bloats up fast. hell be 143-145 come time to fight.
not sure if its all water weight. not sure if they do this in boxing but in football its pretty common to blood transfuse packed blood or a dextrose push to get the player more energy and sustained oxygen before even during games.
