Fairest solution is for each fighter to be guaranteed 40% and the winner gets the remaining 20%. This kind of a format should be universally adopted in boxing.

Good idea, but never going to happen. Never, ever. They'd rather go for the guaranteed 50% than risking 10% to gain 20%.

But I had a chat on this topic a while ago, and I was pretty surely convinced that it wouldn't be as good in use as it sounds in theory. Hatton and Pacquiao would go for the win anyway, but many fighters would chose to be safety first to be sure to win, even if boring, to get the extra money. I think it would do more harm than good in a long period.

Dick move by Team Pacquiao. If this ends up causing a problem or ruining the fight I'll lose alot of respect.

pac should get more money out of this.. he gave way for oscar on their fight.. and destroyed him. ricky needs pac more than he needs manny... 60-40 in the gates and ppv sales in the us... 50-50 in ppv sales in whales how about that!!!

    GOOD FOR PACMAN!

go and get your money, that is good business. These fans and critics do no not care about you once your career is over, if you get hurt, or if you lose. Ask Gerald Mcllelllan and Meldrick Taylor..

Pac should go for 60/40...Hatton wont get the kind of money he would get with Pac with any other fighter...Margarito would molest hatton if that were to happen.

He would get that sort of money against Holt or Bradley. 90,000 seater stadium packed, 1.5m UK PPV, do the maths. When Pac Diaz did only 250,000 buys what does Pac have to offer Hatton?

Obviously this is still under negotiation. This fight will push through no doubt.

    1) Pac IS NOT a bigger draw than Hatton
    2) Hatton is the Champ
    3) 60-40 is a joke. Hatton should tell him to take and shove it.
    4) Pacs impression of himself far exceeds his talent. Who has he beaten....he struggled with JMM twice and refuses to fight him a 3rd time...Chicken? That kid form Chicago is a B fighter, and OLDH is obviously shot..... Hatton has fought Kostay and PBF AT THEIR RPIMES and is 1-1. Please tell me again who is the bigger draw, and the better fighter....
