    The conversation went...

    "Floyd is money obsessed"

    "Who isn't"

Then you pipe up and say "Most need money but not everyone go to the extent of bordering greed."

I then give you an example of Paquiao being greedy, going back on his 50-50 agreement with Hatton because he wanted more money so they end up giving him 52-48 to make sure the fight goes ahead.

You then say "You don't understand"

I don't understand what exactly, that Pacquiao is every bit as greedy as Mayweather? Floyd may talk about money all of the time but I don't remember him ever pulling out of a fight that he agreed too because he decided he wanted more money.

In the case of Hatton vs. Pacquiao... to suggest Pacquiao going from 50/50 to 52/48 is greed is pure nonsense.

It was simply a formality. Pacquiao was obviously knew he was the better fighter. He was #1 p4p, and just came off an utterly devastating performance against De La Hoya. Pacquiao basically sent the previous cash king into retirement so his demand of 52/48 is justified and deserved.

Now... had Pacquiao pulled a Floyd and demanded 70/30 the way "MONEY" Mayweather demanded against Marquez and Mosely... then maybe you can say Pacquiao is greedy.

He agreed to 50-50, so how is suggesting that by threatening to pull out of the fight unless you get a larger share of the money than what you previously agreed too as being greedy is pure nonsense?

Toontoon, you're mistaking Greed with Pride.

They are both among the 7 deadly sins, but they are still very different.

Everyone can understand and has probably been in a position where you agree to something, but decide after you want to change some things.

eg. Floyd challenging Manny and agreeing to fight, and at the last minute demanding random testing til fight night. This is not greed, but Fear. Fear is not a deadly sin, so Floyd should not be ashamed of being scared of Manny Pacquiao.

Anyway, Pacquiao decided and rightfully so, that he was the superior boxer and the current P4P king so he just adjusted the 50/50 to 4 more percent in his favor in respect to his status.

If anybody is being greedy, it's Ricky Hatton for thinking he deserved 50%.
And guess what... Ricky got DESTROYED in 2 rounds. The way Hatton fought Pacquiao the split should have been 90/10 .

give us a link quoting that please, because i'm not going to go by ****ing hearsay, which is the same reasons why i don't take floyd's comments seriously. i'm waiting to see one of pac's camp correcting floyd's comments, but they haven't yet, which is weird if floyd's comment is not true as i'm sure they would love to get one over floyd, if they can.

If you need a link proving that Nike pays Pacquiao only 74k, which is less than they pay their shoe designers... you need to work on your defense because seems to me your punch drunk.

if you wasn't so ******ed, you might realise that i was asking you to find a quote to prove pacquiao is getting paid 30 million, not 74k. like i said in my post, i don't believe floyd either, but i would of expect pac's camp to get one over on floyd by basically making a mockery of his 74k comment, but they haven't yet, and who knows why? i don't listen too much to hearsay, hearsay gets you in trouble and makes you look foolish.
