true..these are why pacfans are hated. When someone gives a fair analysis and it doesn't go well with pac they suddenly crucify you and label you as a hater. Thats why I quit visiting to pacland

Funny thing about this is that when Murad Muhammad was still promoting Manny, Team Freedom offered him a Casamayor fight after Manny's draw with Marquez for the 126 Ring/WBA/IBF unification.

But at the time, since Cepillo was at 130, and with a potential million-dollar-purse and HBO PPV looming in the form of the first Morales fight, it made no sense for Pac to move up and then back down. He fought a tune-up against Fahsung 3K-Battery in the Philippines before taking on Morales I.

Four years later, Casa is now up to 135, and in a couple months, so will Manny. Casa is Ring and linear champ, but this fight still doesn't make sense money-wise, as Casa is not a big draw.

When I see if fights are going to be made, I always look at the promoter situation. As of now here are Arum's options, and the promoters he would have to deal with:

    1. David Diaz (Top Rank, which would be himself)
    2. Juan Manuel Marquez (Golden Boy)
    3. Nate Campbell (Don King)
    4. Joel Casamayor (Golden Boy)
    5. Juan Diaz (Golden Boy, formerly King)
    6. Michael Katsidis (Northeast)
    7. Joan Guzman (Golden Boy)
    8. Edwin Valero (Teiken, formerly Golden Boy)
    9. Ricky Hatton (Golden Boy)

Seeing that Arum has a cold war going on with GBP, I see him going to King first if he can.

That's just wrong man. First of all, JMM was GBP. And Arum HATES, I mean "I will put a shotgun to your face" hates Don King. So a fight with a GBP fighter is more likely than a King fighter, unless one of the two human weasels masquerading as promoters croaks.

    Not true. Look at Mosley-Cotto.

Err as far as I know Cotto is Top Rank and Mosely is GBP and the fight still happened, so no cold war there. Or more likely, a relationship that is starting to thaw because of the huge amounts of money that can be taken. Again, Arum and Don King hate each other to oblivion, so Nate versus Manny is a very far possibility. A more probable scenario would be JMM versus Nate.

Should be an easy fight for Pac. Casa got lucky, was pretty much worn down to nothing and had his opponent carelessly run into a punch with his mouth open. Pac will outwork Casa, and will be harder to land a friggin soutpaw left hook against..

I'd rather watch Pac be given the decision again after losing by 2-3 points on the cards against Marquez.

The "If the price is right" kills the whole accepting the challenge.

wow this pac debate never ends. once a pac thread is being created, haters will post shitty opinions against him and fans like us will always reply to defend him or give fair analysis.

after all these years i can say that despite his accomplishments, he's still underrated by many:-(
