Average score was 119.3 - 102.6 Average 16.7 point margin of victory Anyone know fights with a wider margin? I'd be interested to know the record on this.
It wasn't even the widest of the night, on that PPV card. I had Pacquiao by eighteen points over Algieri (120-102) but Shiming by nineteen over Papoem (120-101)
Yeah, Pacquiao fought better than Shiming, but on my card with all the knockdowns and deductions (and one round that I gave as base 10-8 on top of the knockdowns) it ended up even wider. On the official cards Pacquiao did average the higher points disparity than Shiming. Pacquiao vs. Algieri scores: 119-103x2, 120-102 - average 119.33-102.66, 16.67pt differential. Shiming vs. Papoem scores: 120-103, 119-106x2 - average 119.33-105, 14.33pt differential.
Your statements aren't mutually exclusive, you do know that, right? Hans' was qualitative, yours quantitative.
Come on, don't be a weirdo, nobody is talking about whose Lacy was whom. The subject was "Pacquiao-Algieri ::: Widest decision ever?". The wideness of a decision is a purely quantitative, black and white matter. It doesn't necessarily correlate to most (qualitatively) one-sided fight ever.
The guy asked was it the widest decision ever. Going off the official score cards , not how competitive the fight was. Thats what i took from it. Joe vs Lacy was more one sided, yeah.
