That's how you can tell if he is a mayweather fan or not. DobyZhee can't apprehend the concept of fighting fighters in the same level but fighting lower class fighters to make oneself look the best.

It's easier to overcome a knockout loss when you are a severely weight drained teenager. Also, Floyd didn't start as an amateur when he was 16. If that was the case, he won the National Golden Gloves the same year he first laced up the gloves!! He's been boxing since he was in diapers. I brought up what they both weighed when they were both 16, 21, and now because I was illustrating the fact that naturally they've never been far apart in weight, and at this stage of their careers they walk around at the same weight and weigh the same on the night of their fights. Again, the only real physical advantage that Floyd has over Manny is his amazing arm length. Ironically, nobody wants to talk about that, they keep bringing up weight which isn't even a factor.

Very calm critique. I just have a problem with what overrated is. 'Cause if we rate pac at number 1, i'd say that's accurate. and as we all know, number one can always be beaten.

"Pacquiao is overrated" = what does that even mean? overrated at p4p? overrated at excitement measures? overrated at skillset probably, or at the lww division? is his power overrated, or his speed, his defense?

Personally, I think that if he is overrated, that means to say that boxing analysts shouldn't have him at the best fighter status. There's no getting higher than number one.

In summary, saying he's overrated but still keeping him as your p4p 1st is simply incoherent.

You ask a good question. When Mayweather retired, Calzaghe in my opinion became #1 by default after beating Hopkins. When Calzaghe retired, Pac became #1 by default. Now that Mayweather has returned, the #1 P4P slot should be vacant until Pac & Mayweather fight and determine who truly is #1 P4P. To Pac's credit, he hasn't done anything to warrant being dropped to #2 or lower. He's a great and special fighter who is a legit Hall of Famer and not simply bound for the Hall like Hatton is. The reason why I feel he is a tad overrated is because in spite of having lost 3 more fights than Mayweather has, he's being called #1 P4P, and being mentioned alongside Robinson and Armstrong. Mayweather (39-0 through 5 weight divisions) is the one that should be mentioned alongside those guys, and if Pac beats Mayweather I have no problem with him going down as great or greater than those guys. Until then, one is either overrating Pac or underrating Mayweather by suggesting that. If Mayweather beats Pac, he better be mentioned with those guys!!

Actually, FLOYD was lucky there was that ringpost that helped him knock HATTON DOWN, if not, it could have been a UD or TKO for HATTON! :hat

Pac was fortunate enough to have come on the scene at the end of a great era of boxing. He was able to capatilize on the diminishing skills of some great fighters.

    MAB
    EM
    ODLH

His three biggest wins against one past prime fighter and two shot fighters.

Why is going into the fight with with Oscar, he was counted out, the odds where agianst him, and nobody gave MP a snowball'sl chance in hell to beat Oscar.

But, Manny goes on to teach Oscar how to box, and all of sudden the same people that call for an Oscar KO, are the ones crying that he was washed up anyway?

Would you consider Oscar washed up when he fought PBF? the fights where only a year and a half apart.
