If you want to read the whole thing.

    • Antonio Margarito, the disgraced former Welterweight titlist who Arum anticipates will eventually get his license back after having it revoked for trying to fight Mosley with loaded hand wraps 14 months ago.

    • Edwin Valero, the former Lightweight titlist who is moving up to Junior Welterweight for his next fight. Valero, who has had licensing issues because of a past medical problem, is licensed in Texas, so maybe we'll see a return to Jerry Jones' Cowboys Stadium if that fight is made.

    • Juan Manuel Marquez, the Lightweight champ who would have to move up in weight. Marquez and Pacquiao have fought two memorable battles with Pacquiao going 1-0-1 in two terrific and close fights in which both decisions were highly controversial. If there is Pacquiao-Marquez III it would mean Top Rank would have to work with Golden Boy, Marquez's promoter, which is always a dicey proposition.

These so far are the 3 opponents he's looking to fight in summer/early fall.

    From the source

So Arum is already looking ahead and thinking about possible fights for Pacquiao. Obviously, Pacquiao against the winner of the May 1 Shane Mosley-Floyd Mayweather Jr. fight makes the most sense and is the most lucrative, by far. But Arum was quick to point out that if Mosley wins, it's an unlikely fight because Mayweather has a rematch clause in the contract.

"So any talk of Shane Mosley beating Mayweather and then fighting Manny is poppycock," Arum said, adding that he believed the rematch clause was "strong."

all 3 are easy fights, even easier than Clottey's, JMM isn't as good anymore. Plus, Pac fighting below 147 is like making his resume going backwards. He might as well retire if it's not Mosley / FMJ winner. Carrying on is pointless, it's like he's waiting for a guy to beat him.

I hope it is not Marquez. Pacman will win this fight. This is the fight I think he would have fought had Mayweather not beaten Marquez convincingly less than a year ago. But now if Pacman doesn't knock out Marquez, it will make him look like he couldn't do the job on Marquez that Mayweather could, so I do not think he will fight Marquez. The best fight there is Margarito, but I doubt he will fight him-that is a tough fight and Margarito can punch hard enough to back up Pacman and make it interesting-I don't think Pacman's people will take the chance. I think if they really are looking at this list the fight they will fight is Valero.

Good alternatives, considering Mayweather's posing and posturing.Life goes on and the world doesn't revolve around Floyd.

I was hoping Bradley or Alexander would be in his choices but Valero is still good.

Margarito is a good alternative how?

He's been inactive for how long but he leapfrogs numerous others who are actually deserving of a fight with Pac and might actually pose him some problems.

I wouldnt mind seeing him fighting Valero or Bradley as long as he fights the Mosley-Floyd winner after that.

But i have absolutely no interest in seeing him fight a cheater like Margo or a guy that hes coming of a fight where he lost every round like JMM is.

Well as stated before in boxing all roads lead to FMJ at some point in time until he retires for good

Sounds good to me. Of course Arum is just playing games with Mayweather by not including him, just like Mayweather doesn't mention pacs name. Arum and Mayweather know how to play the negotiating game, Roach just spits out at the mouth which is why Roach is making it clear he wants Mayweather.

Bradley or Alexander is a boring fight. I like Bradley but it's just not that interesting. He's a tough, hard working fighter but there is no spark there to sell it to people, and there's even less with Alexander. Just two fights that are as interesting as the Clottey bout.

At least Valero is a fascinating fighter to watch. I would actually consider flying to America to see that fight, considering it's so intriguing. Margarito, who may be done at the top level, still brings lots of interest. Mexicans will buy that for sure. The same for Marquez, who is clearly not a welterweight, brings an interesting fight at 140lbs. I'd like to see that again, just because it's Marquez and Pacquiao.

That doesn't cover the situation where Mayweather wins.

Honestly, these choices are bull****. I'm a fan of JMM, but he doesn't stand a chance against Pac above 135, and Pac won't go down to 135. Margarito can **** right off; another dubious in-house match-up, and it probably won't happen based on licensing issues. Valero ... hmmm ... I'd watch it, but I still think Pac wins a one-sided beat-down, especially at 140.

    STFU and fight Mayweather, FFS.
