These are two of the hardest punchers the Featherweight division has ever seen. Not even kidding. Why do you think Marquez was so effective as a counter puncher? It's because the punches had such a devastating effect, especially in the lower weights. It was like a ****ing bomb going off when he landed clean.

And Pac was regularly dropping elite fighters in the lower weights. It's not crazy to ask if Pacquiao is the hardest puncher in the history of the 122 pound division. That's how hard he hits. People think Pacquiao is an accumulation puncher when that's not even close to true. Yea at Lightweight and above he was. He started transitioning into an accumulation guy at 130, but still had some of that 122-126 power left, but not quite the same.

These guys are known as great fighters, but one aspect of their style that gets constantly overlooked is raw power. Especially Marquez.

Absolutely.. It bugs me tbh.. Especially when you get people popping up sayin

Marquez only punched hard afta teh roidz

**** off mate.. Just shows they never saw him at feather and superfeather, where he was devastating.. I believe his punching power mostly came from his exceptional timing.. But to discount him as a puncher having only seen him fighting at welter and over the age of 40 is a joke

And manny was a lethal puncher.. The power to hurt welters when so far above your natural weight was astounding... I hold my hands up when I said Cotto was a step too far for manny.. How wrong I was... Battered his ass

Lol @marquez being one of the hardest FW punchers ever.

Arguello, Pacquiao, Pedroza, Gomez, Sanchez, Boza, McGovern, Canzoneri, Hamed, Kelley, Saldivar, Armstrong and of course the king Sandy Saddler. All hit harder.

He ain't top 10, he's not one of the hardest punchers at FW.

He punches harder than Sanchez. If Nelson just walked right in on Marquez like that he'd dispatch him quickly.

Pedroza was far from a puncher, he was a stylist in the mold of a young Ali who used the ring to float around and fight on his toes.
Eusebio doea'nt belong in the mention as a puncher.

Pacquiao ate flush bombs from Cotto, Mosley, a 165 pound Margarito, a 160+ pound Thurman, a 170+ pound (eye test) Horn — all to little out no effect. Roidquez put him down and then put him out. That's how hard Roidquez was punching. Roidquez even sent a gigantic Alvarado flying literally halfway across the ring.
