Pacquiao and math

Floyd agreed to a 50-50 split the first time around. Now that pac has agreed to a 14 days testing all of a sudden 50-50 is no good anymore

Floyd just keep coming out with excuses not to fight pac.

 

Thing is, you can't compare Oscar to Floyd, like you do Floyd to Pacquiao. Pacquiao in his last big fight has drawn 1.2 million, Floyd 1.4 . The difference isn't all that big. Nothing compared to the draws Oscar was making when compared to Floyd back then.

Floyd made himself a draw through the Oscar fight. Manny doesn't need that. He's already a big enough draw, plus this is his last fight. So equal or nothing. Simple. If Floyd doesn't take it, for what is supposed to be an easy fight, then he's plain stupid.

Cotto is followed alot in PR, believe me I live there :yep. He may not be liked as much as Tito, but he has a huge fanbase.

 

You can't possibly compare Clottey Pacquiao to Mosley Mayweather. Clottey is an elite boxer IMO, but he's got no real reputation. Most know Mosley. Plus, look at the effort of avertising, which was non existent in the Clottey vs Pacquiao fight. While Mayweather Mosley was... almost begging to be bought.

How much would Floyd have done versus Clottey? Maybe 900 thousands... No more than that. No one REALLY wanted to see Pacquiao vs Clottey, but he still made 700. That's a show for the current drawing power of Pacquiao.

Cotto has following, but Mosley was coming off his biggest win. Mosley is a draw himself, whether you like it or not. Plus, Pacquiao, through the Cotto fight, became an even bigger draw. As proven by the 700 done against Clottey.

That was hardly a defining fight. Sure, it made him bigger. But OLDH, that's the one defining fight. There were none bigger before or after that. Except for this one.

50/50 or bust. Floyd says easy fight then he demands random testing then he demands majority of the shares. Something doesn't tick here.

I base my facts on news and articles. Juanma an upcoming fighter has a bigger Puerto Rican fan base than Cotto.

 

Um yes you can. If you don't then you can compare Pac/Cotto to May/Mosely... Mayweather out sold there too. Mayweather would have done more than Pac. Easily. Pac can't sell fights.
