UFC definitely has the edge in apparel. When is the last time you saw any apparel company sponsoring a boxer's walk-in other than the usual everlast? It's the norm for UFC. MMA outsells boxing by far in clothing at lest here in the US. I'm not surprised Nike is going after UFC fighters, those walk-in shirts approach $80 a pop.

Have you ever seen a non-filipino wear Pacman gear? NO.

 

The word was that Nike had dropped Pacquiao for speaking out against homosexuality.
Some feel Pacquiao was'nt given the benefit of the doubt vs Bradley for the same reason.

 

Pac drew the short straw in that deal anyway. 100K is **** all when it comes to sponsorship deals, especially with nike.

He will be able to negotiate a much higher deal now for his last couple fights, providing sponsors dont mind the fact that he is openly homophobic and has said he thinks they "should be put to death"... Disgraceful if you ask me.

So you're bringing up PAC's contract with TR and GBP?atsch Ok....lets' look at it....PAC came from PI....had almost NO money to his name...No real promoter...Golden Boy wanted PAC so they went about it DON KING style and showed up with a suit case full of money to entice a young, poor impressionable talent away from Top Rank...thousands of miles away from home....no one to trust and ended up making a costly mistake. Hind sight is 20/20 and a lot of young men make bad business choices.

Nothing can compare to Floyd's bone headed business move that had him desperately reaching out to none other than Bob Arum to save his ass in more than one way.

Floyd use to be in business with a well known manager in boxing...who also is well known in the south as a real gangster turned hip-hop mogul. Floyd was in some real hot water with this guy and owed a bunch of money......Bob of all people saved his ass....paid off his debt and made sure Floyd would live to see another day.

It's funny how you call PAC a "Stooge" when Floyd could be Larry, Curly and Moe with his track record.
