So then why dont Black latinos ever make it to a list of best black fighters? Or white Latinos never make it to a list of white fighters? I see what you mean by your explanation but most people dont follow that logic.
Cotto has no defense and is not a natural counter-puncher. Not to mention his handspeed isn't all that. Nothing about Cotto is slick.
Cotto is partially black even though his parents look white (possibly Amerindian). It's strange, because his parents don't look black, but Cotto and his kids look partially black.
Do you guys really believe that Edison Miranda is latino but not black? He's got more black in him than most black americans.
Thats the dumbest **** ive ever heard here and im not surprised it came from you. Thats like saying Whitaker's legacy isnt complete cause he never fought an asian fighter.
Nah nah nah . . . no choice ??? He has already captured his 7th divisional championship and remains the #1 rated P4P fighter. He doesn't have to fight these guys to disprove the allegations made up ( I believe ) by Guzman . . . that risk is not worth taking. If anything . . . only Floyd. If they agree on terms . . . he should fight Floyd.
Race is confusing, that's why. The fact of the matter is, all people aren't the same. People of different geographic locations have evolved in different ways. There's a reason that pretty much all the top sprinters are of West African descent. Those people have evolved to have have stronger lower bodies, good body control, and fast twitch muscles. Black fighters in the States or from Latin countries are of West African descent. They tend to have those genetic attirbutes that I mentioned which allow black boxers to more easily have that slickness as a fighter. Guzman may be labled as Latin, but he's still of West African descent, and still possess those genetic traits that I described.
dumbass race card again. pac would have killed campbell inside 6 rounds. pac has fought and beat the best. the race card is childish.
When I say no choice, I mean their aren't any big fights he can take against fighters that aren't slick boxers. If not Mayweather, then where does he go? The only other reasonable choices would be Berto, Mosley, or possibly the winner of Bradley/Peterson if he wanted to go back to 140 lbs.
Is it categorized as that or is it just categorized by just "Latino." That might answer your question. Not sure if this is sarcasm but Locche was Sardinian which is Italian (It's the island of Italy to the west). So he would be considered an Italian-Argentinian. As I am an Italian-American. There's tons of Italian in Argentina and Uruguay in South America. In fact, those countries are mostly dominated by Italian and Spanish ancestry.
Nothing stupid about it. If you can't understand the importance of black fighters in the history of boxing then log off. It would be like saying your the best 100 meters sprinter in the world but have never raced Americans or Jamaicans.:deal
Let's face it. whether Pac has avoided blacks or not, He will beat most if not all black fighters (from 147 downward), with the exception of Paul Williams and possibly Floyd. I'm a black guy but let's be honest Pac is too damn good. The times of black guys dominating boxing are long gone...latinos in lower weight classes and eastern europeans in higher classes.
