I don't know man,it takes otherworldy skills to fight the way he fights. He was god like for some time.He has a mysticism that makes me say he can beat anyone he 'chooses' to beat. And I think he beats Manny 6 times out of 10 if he is completely unorthodox and a higher percent of times if he sticks to the script.Manny would be an open book for Augustus.

i love his talent but he's too inconsistent, between fights and within fights, for me to put that much faith in him. he's a legend with the TALENT of a hall of famer but mayweather knocked him out and ward outfought him on the inside. he's just rarely been able to pull it all together

Well, at least you could acknowledge that Pac won his trilogy with Morales, and he beat Barrera twice.

The reason for his high ATG ranking isn't fantasy head to head, but his accomplishments. He is the first seven weight division champ, the fighter of the decade, and beat several hall of famers. Imagine, two years ago, in June of 2008, if I told you that he would beat DLH, Hatton, Cotto, Clottey, and not only beat, but destroy them? I'd be laughed out of the room!

Look at his resume. Skill wise, he might not be the best, but resume wise, he is very good.

    read your post again.

didnt you realize that even if pacquaio loses to all these all time greats, it is still amazing that this guy who once fought at flyweight has a fighting chance against the likes of jake lamotta, sugar ray robinson, and as you mentioned, marvin hagler!?

name one fighter in the history of the sport who can that?

That resume is inflated ..South of 140 no arguements his wins over Barrera and Morales alone are what put him in that catagory to begin with ..But the Oscar Delahoya that fought Manny was far from his hall of fame best ..The only fight I'd give him that keeps up top is the Cotto fight ..Out side of that Hatton and Clotty ? Are they really the measuring stick for greatness ? He's a top 50 no doubt top 20 is streching it ..

okay let me quote that for you again for better understanding...

i'm pretty sure you were one of those who would have laughed off that idea 2-3 years ago. absurd as it may seemed, it happened and pac defied the odds. that's greatness for you..

i tell you, downplaying pac's recent wins isn't gonna help you strengthen your claims..

Yeah stupid ass method right? :rofl

I am just amazed at how the mind of a pac hater works....
PAC and floyd are the two best fighters right now,...only haters think otherwise...and they have only a few fights left before they retire...
Hope us boxing fans can just be thankful that we are able to witness their greatness...
    stop hating assholes...

This thread is about the deep end of the hall.Manny would be out of place there and that is the main point.Head to head match ups matter. If one cannot defeat anyone in the deep end of the hall then they simply don't deserve to be there.Freddie Roach told Shane he was still too good to fight Manny! This alone rules out Manny, his own trainer doesn't believe in him versus certain fighters. When you factor in the fact that the deep end of the hall includes the greatest middle weights and heavies then their is literally no room for him in the deep end and that is the point. He must be placed by the front door!
