Pacquiao aside, who do you want to see JMM finish off against in his last few fights?

    Personally, as aged as Marquez is, I think he can dominate the younger generation 135 and below, and may snag a title at 140 (see the thread concerning a 4-division Mexican champ weighing his chances). It's not hard at all to imagine an aged veteran in JMM schooling any of these up and coming young lions with counters, with every technically precise and fluidly executed punch saying "NO... you are a boy, not a champion."

    I would love to see Lopez step up later if he were to beat Gamboa, or Gamboa himself. Marquez beating Katsidis, then maybe Soto, Lopez/Gamboa, and a champion at 140 for a lineal title over someone like Bradley would be picture perfect ending second only to a (now unlikely) victory over Pacquiao. I'm sure there are other opponents I'm not thinking of that would matchup great for him and the fans.

    Who else would you like to see JMM in there with before he retires?

    I'd like to see him go after Khan, win or lose. I think it's the perfect veteran vs up and comer fight. Khan has physical advantages but JMM is alot smarter. JMM can go for his 4th title and Khan can establish himself as an elite fighter. Also there's the Roach vs Beristain factor.

    It's also a big payday for both.


    To me, that fight makes the most sense, but Khan should accept to give JMM the lion's share of the purse.

    If he beats Kats he should move up to 140 and have a go at a 4th division title against Khan or the winner of Devon-Bradley.

    I think he should fight Brandon Rios at 135lbs then call it a career, he will be approaching 38 years of age after the Katsidis fight. He should stay away from Khan who is a young in his prime fighter, I'm not interested in watching people get paydays.

    I would love to see him in the ring with khan but whoever wins that fight their next mandetory will be Robert Ghost Guerrero...

    Brandon Rios might be a good idea but it's will be a tough fight. I agree on Khan, it's a bad match-up. Khan is too big and too fast.
