Agreed that Mayweather has a superior resume than Pacquiao. I've long been surprised at the disparity of ESB opinion and seemingly obvious reality.
a honest assessment of Mayweather's resume would be that it's solid. Nothing great, nothing bad. However if you compare it to Pacquiao's resume. Mayweather's resume is the gold standard of excellence. I can't think of a worst resume of an alleged all time great. Than that of Pacquiao.
I had no dog in that fight, and thought Pacquiao would win a decision. By no means did Pacquiao, or Bradley, looked like the winner that night. I had it 6-6 a piece, from unbiased eyes with nothing at stake. I actually gave Pacquiao a lot of props for picking Bradley, and at least fighting a close fight with him. Bradley is tough guy, hard to look good against. Marquez is in for a fight.
You put an asterisk next to Pac's win over Marquez, and yet there isn't any asterisk for Mayweather vs Castillo 1? That fight was very close, and you can make a good case that Castillo actually won it. You also neglected to add Sasakul to Pac's list. The weight issues in Mayweather vs Marquez should also warrant a mention. Mayweather has some very good wins, but he doesn't really have a great one -- a win over a prime ATG. Pac's win over Barrera is the most impressive win out of both records, as Barrera was either in his prime or very close to it.
yes he is.. no one wins fighter of the decade without being ATG.. being fighter of the decade is not easy to get, it means you have done some insane stuff.. the runner ups are considered ATGs as well Floyd, Hopkins, Marquez, Barrera etc..
ROFL :rofl Just because *******s troll this board with alts and upvote anything with the P word in it, he's an ATG? Admit it, you're *******ed.
