The problem with this fight not being made is apparently GBP asking for too much. As a Pac fan I didn't mind Marquez and his shirt stunt, as he ended up looking like a douche..

First off, I'm not trolling and I rarely start threads around here.......

......and lastly, JMM-Pac would be huge, more buys than the Margarito fight, if Arum promoted it as Pacquiao rematching the last fighter who gave Pacquiao a run for his money, and actually by most experts accounts beat Pacquiao.....

Thats how you promote the fight to be a PPV sucess, unfortunately that interferes with Arum wanting to promote Pacquiao as bigger than "Ali."

LOL, relax dude.... You know who PAC is fighting any ways...

That is the late great grand pappy mosely...

So just enjoy that fight as a fan of PACQUIAO...

2 good legendary fights are okay with me and PAC is to scared to enter into number 3 let him be, the easier fight is with mosely and he can make as much money there.. so why would they risk it? Mosely is happening next then you will get Margarito/cotto rematch... Pac fans rejoice.

    divac. totally agree.

I actually think Bob should stop being cheap, "if" Margo indeed got 6M , then JMM deserves atleast 6.1M. Hence 5M isn't much to be honest, "if" GBP's offer for JMM's after promotion-cut's asking price is only 5M.

The 24/7 and promotion theme has already been laid out, the promoter/s can capitalise on that to make this a atleast a 1.5M PPV fight.

Exactly, Imagine having PACQUIAO struggle with a fighter the same size as him....blasphemy LOL

When they could easily beat a Mosely that is 5"11 and sell that bigger man BS... Easier fight is coming our WAY

    April 2011

    MOSELY time...:-(

So you would consider 20 to 25% of the purse to Marquez overpricing himself???

Bradley KHAN MAIDANA are already being considered for JMM if PAC runs scared again, the move up to the 140 division is PLAN B as what JMM has said ....

Since pac is to afraid to go back to counter puncher heaven... that most likely will happen..

he gots bigger fish to fry like a prime 40 year old coming off 2 losses mosely...

WAIT but He's bigger... so good fight.

TO answer your question, I am currently trying to see if PAC and JMM 3 will happen and its not looking to good, I will continue to want this fight until Arum announced the opponent.

If PAC does not take JMM from the 3 proposals, and preferd the easy way with Mosely Oh well... it didn't happen.

I then look forward to a good fight in the 140 pound division as a JMM fan his next fight will all be pleasing, as he is considering all the young lions like Khan, Bradley, Maidana....

What do you have to look forward to? Mosely and Cotto Margo rematch? enjoy.:hi:

I think this is what Team Pacquiao and Bob Arum would be worried about.

If once again the matchup were to play out exactly as the first two fights, then where does that leave Pacquiao's bargaining power vs Mayweather Jr., who beat Marquez at 147 quite handily????

......which btw is a monumental reason why if a JMM-Pac fight gets made, the Pac team should make certain its at 140 lbs.......that way if Pacquiao wins but Marquez gives him hell, the Pacquiao team can point to Marquez being closer to his natural weight class and the reason why Marquez competed much better.

There is a big drawback for Pacquiao by having a JMM fight held at 147 lbs, because he then is competing with the notion that he has to outperform Mayweather's fight with Marquez.

At 140 lbs, that competing with Mayweather's performance is'nt quite the same as the fighting weightclass is close to Marquez natural weight class.

Hell yeah. Margo got something like 15% in a fight Top Rank didn't have to pay to stage. Marquez is not a bigger draw than Margo, but let's call them even, taking into account his rivalry with Pac. Anything from 10-15%, depending on how generous Top Rank want to be, they should be happy with.

    :patsch
Sounds like something a butthurt ******* would say......butthurt over the schooling Marquez administered on your hero.......

I understand though, you *******s dont want to cry like Jinkee did while Marquez kicked Pacquiao's ass!:deal:yep

Btw, what Marquez is asking for is something at or closer to 20% and not 25%.........if I were Marquez I would not take a cent less than 35%........

Unbelievable, Arum wants Marquez to take along the lines of 1 million:lol:.........but the offer to Mosley is of about 11 million......

.....and anyone with a brain can figure out pretty quickly that a JMM-Pac fight sells more PPV's.:yep
