You really have a low term memory dont you, if you dont know what really went on dont make up bull**** then.

GBP and Top Rank wouldnt do business with each other at the time, MAB dropped out of GBP to make the fight with Pac. The MAB rematch was the biggest fight available to Pac at the the time. Pac fighting Mab again is more credible than JMM fighting Juarez by far.

During the Barrera - Pacquiao 2, Barrera chose to be a calculator( a bad one) instead of brawling with Pacquiao which smart but a boring choice not to mention that he failed to outboxed Pacquiao.

first fight: MAB by universal opinion

second fight: they split the first six, MAB sweeps the back half

    third fight: MAB clear decision.

Live with it. Quit talking **** about MAB. You disrespect MAB, you disrespect EM because ***** MAB somehow beat his ass three times. You get it?

if pac's boxing skills were not that good as compared to jmm, why do he have those close fights with the boxing master jmm even if he was at a stylistic disadvantage?

pac's style is perfect for jmm, but jmm also did a hard time against pacman. this says a lot about pac's boxing skills hanging in there with jmm and beating him narrowly in the rematch.

it was supposed to be pac-barrera if not for the GBP-TR rift over pac's management dispute. barrera fans were waiting years for marco to fight pac again which they feel that the first win was just a fluke and barrera was suffering all kinds of trouble in the first fight (forest fire in the camp, surgery in the head, etc.) and barrera would exact revenge in the 2nd fight. if there's one thing that was settled on the 2nd fight, it was noted that pac would have always beat marco.

if the TR-GBP rift was settled earlier, there's no way jmm-barrera could have happened in march of 2007 and pac would be fighting for marco's 130 belt months earlier. the scenario could not have been much better because pac and jmm would fight later for the 130 title.

A load of respected BOXING journalist did'nt think those JMM-Pac fights were close in rounds......

I'm not about to rehash those fights again as we've already debated them at lenghth......but you would know that I scored both those fights 9-3 in rounds in favor of Marquez......which would make them "NOT CLOSE!"

I've always said this even before the rematch.......JMM will always dominate Pac in rounds won.......but the fight will always be a physically taxing fight for JMM because Pacquiao always brings it.......

As long as JMM has the physical ability to fight a full 12 rounds and not just in spurts (to date, he's show he can still do that).....he will always beat any version of Manny Pacquiao.......

.....now dont go have a cow, as thats just my honest opinion!

If `universal` applies to fight 1 then it applies to fight 2 even more so.

3rd fight - even fight, the fact is Barrera has never truly got the better of Morales, Morales boxed his ass in fight 2 for a clear victory, ANY moron can see this... live with those facts.

I dont talk **** about MAB, I just have no time for the little worm :good

i just cant still believe that you have that kind of scorecard. yes you have said this before but even the most hardcore fans of both fighters have this fight either 7-5 or 6-6 on both sides. you have 3 rounds for pac. don't you think some of the other rounds you gave to jmm were close that it could have easily been scored for pac?

Bottom line is that JMM-MAB was supposed to have been the eliminator for the rights to fight Pac......DLH and GBP wanted the JMM-Pac fight soon after......but Pac and Arum both balked at it......

.....to refresh your memory.....since Pac did'nt want the JMM fight at the time, GBP negotiated for the Pac-MAB fight to take place.....one of the stipulations for Pac-MAB to take place was that if Pac won, he would then fight JMM at something like a 57/43 split of the purse......

......Arum renaged on that.....and the second JMM-Pac fight would have never happened if forums like ours which included Pacland:lol:, would'nt have gone up in a frenzy with disgust that Pac was about to step to 135 lbs to fight a paper champion and leaving the best featherweight who gave him boxing lesson in fight one, up to hang.......

......and even then, it took JMM embarassing the whole Pac team by coming out in public stating he was relenting to every Pac financial demand and that they could take there choice of weight!

.....how foolish would team Pac have looked had they ignored JMM then and went on to do what they really wanted to do, and that is fight David Diaz???:nut:lol:

Believe this....us the fans forced the hand of Arum, Pac, and Roach......they would have been bombarded with criticisim had Pac not fought JMM when every boxing fan that knows an ounce of boxing was clamoring for that fight.

Pac looked like he carried MAB to be honest with you, especially when you consider how easily he blew him out the first time, Manny should have went in there to get it done again, They always say the winner by knock out usally knocks you out quicker in the rematch.
Look at the Pacquiao Morales fights exact proof of this theory, I wonder why Manny did not attempt to get him out of there.

There are loads of respected journalist who had the first fight 9-3 for JMM and the second fight 8-4 for JMM.....

I certainly feel comfortable and strongly about both my cards!

mab at that time was clamoring retirement if not given a match with pac. mab was still one of the biggest draw in the lower weights that time and a pac-barrera rematch is inevitable. marco's status back then help him secured the rematch against pac.

pac fans were disapointed that pac would be fighting barrera not for the 130 title when jmm beat him earlier so after the mab fight, calls for pac to postpone going-up to 135 were heard. pac can fight jmm at 135 if he wants but he is after legacy this time and even if he was drained already in the mab rematch, he still went for jmm's strap at 130 and the rest was history.

Because that's exactly what Marco was waiting for him to do, and it's what he expected him to do. MAB knows that at that stage of his career he's not going to win a war. He wants to pick his shots and make them count, stagger Manny and take him out when he makes a mistake. Manny's fans may not recognize that, but Manny did, which is why he fought the way he did.

I also think there were some rumors that Pac was sick with the flu heading into the Barrera fight. Especially because he looked REALLY drawn (worse than ever before) and different at the weigh in.
