what are you talking about? margarito landed the body shot towards the end of the 6th round and pac engaged him in a vicious fire-fight until the bell for that round. pac even won that round.

pac is not like mayweather who when gets hit runs and retreats. pac will counter-attack and retailiate. that's how warriors are.

Margarito might have been able to do more damage with the same shots had he not taken those brutal body shots early on. Pac simply used that strategy first and it took away enough of Marg's power. Otherwise, Pac would have possibly taken a knee at least once.

Also, it appears that in the slo-mo replays, Pac actually saw enough of those shots coming that he was able to shift his body just enough to not take them 100% flush (he probably took them at 80-85% flush, this before factoring in how much power Margarito lost due to the body shots he already took).

Then you should have also seen how Pac adjusted to those liver punches by blocking it with his elbows in the later rounds.

There was no firefight, he just went into survival mode watch him run away and cover up his right lower body until the end of the round...

**** that was a brutal round, not only for margo but also for pacquiao who was getting outmuscled early on and was hit by big uppercut before the rounds end.

margo buckled after that left to the body that made an opening to his face that pac took advantage of.

also the cheering of tens of thousands of people in a huge stadium screaming to their delight while this war is happening is an awesome sight.

Nice. Have only watched the fight the once, and I never noticed that other body shot. It looked like Marg was about to go down in that slow motion GIF. Not sure if it was a combination of him ducking and bending to launch a shot of his own, but he definitely did feel it. Reminded me of one of the body shots that Peterson landed on Khan moments before they tangled up against the ropes. Khan's legs went and he would have hit the deck had Peterson not held him up.

 

That caught my eye immediately. As soon as I saw him nearly fold over, I started yelling "**** he's gonna knock him out!" incredulously, and immediately heard Brother Nazim's words in my head: "He don't like it in the body. He can give it there, but he don't like takin it there."

 

Just rewatched the round and, in normal speed, it appears as though Marg really was badly hurt by that second body shot. That's why his legs dipped, and he holds on. Then, when the ref breaks them, he adjusts his trunks. He didn't like that one bit.
