    being somebody that has had to take a week off sparring because of one perfectly placed body shot, from a very average amateur boxer. I can feel the pain there.

    If you actually were more consistent, I would take your opinion more seriously. Yet you do everything to discredit a certain boxers work, not even offering your opinion on the topic at hand. :-(

    :good Although I don't think Margarito deserved the bout, at all.

    I used to spar someone who used to dig them in. Took my breath away for about 10 seconds at a time.

    PAcquiao throws some great body shots, especially his straight left to the body. He can lead with it to and it's like a phone pole. Also throws a nice right hook to the body, which I wish he'd do more often.

    It's good speculation to say Marg faded after Mosley KO'd him. He was never the same. Could be that his gloves weren't loaded anymore or that he lost his mental edge or it could be both. But he definitely wasn't the same fighter. His punches just didn't have as much snap as it did when he fought Cotto. If he had always been the same he would've KO'd Roberto Garcia the same way he KO'd Golden Johnson.

    As for the weight difference between Pac and Marg...I don't know how much credit we should dish out. We've seen fighters rehydrate to a ridiculous weight yet still get beaten. Vic Ortiz basically fights as a super middleweight come fight night. Didn't Baldomir have a crazy weight advantage over Floyd when they fought in the same ring?

    What really would have impressed me is if Pac beat Marg before WrapGate occured. It's about fighting an opponent when he's at his very best both physically and mentally. Then again I wouldn't want Pac to fight a cheater. I guess that will forever be a mystery with Marg - did all his good wins came as a result of punishing his victims with loaded gloves? We'll never know for sure.
