well lets c, after diaz, oscar called out the smaller fighter only to get his ass whooped then manny fought hatton at jw who was undefeated at jw then manny fought a bad ass miguel then manny continued his campaign at ww and destroying everyone in his path whereas **** drinker, got an ass whoopin from lil floyd, fought baby bull twice, and katsidis yea i'd say manny onto bigger and better things and **** drinker should be HAPPY for the gift pay day stfu noob, i didn't want to bring up noob but u done sounded stupid for a good min now, peace
dam right he the best ya ***** but again, aint askin y folks critical, just sayin folks like u, are dumbasses to b coo with serg callin out a smaller dude but if roles were reverse, u'd b the ***** u are lick a dick mr opal
Sup MAIN. No doubt. Martinez has a right to chase that money, like everyone else. He may have to wait out Cotto or Chavez Jr. to get a decent payday though, around his weight class. Either would be easy work for him. Otherwise, he's going to have to move up, again. And I don't see him doing as well, against the bigger names at 168. He'd be taking the risk for less pay (as you said). Now, if he could get a fight with Bute, in Canada, it may be worth the risk.
At the same token, Mayweather called out and chased a middleweight champ when he should have been fighting at jr. welter and defeated him yet he gets no credit for that.
I thought Mayweather WANTS to fight the winner of Williams/Martinez? After the fight, Mayweather chickens out, AS ALWAYS. :yep
Just looked on the first page and found this thread started by Doc...... http://www.eastsideboxing.com/forum/showthread.php?t=314661 Is this the thread you're talking about? Can you point to me where I posted in it? I have not posted in that thread. I think its fair to say you owe me an apology. .....are you big enough to give me one?
yup, serg gettin up there with age so can't knock him for wanting to get paid i'd love to see him go against miguel, i wouldn't even mind if it was ppv since i'm a fan of cotto as well. a fight with jr would b a nice test for him and could get him on the map if he was to somehow pull that through (of course folks prolly goin say jr on some roids or some **** like that) yea if he moved up money still wouldn't b there and risk is even greater, i do like that thing u mentioned about bute in canada, that'd b off the hook, but i do also remember ward sayin he'd b willling to go down to 160 to fight serg and that would generate money, only thing about what ward said though is when are they supposed to fight, he still has the super 6 and a possible show down with bute so him lacing with serg also unlikely serg just in a tough spot i think he should just take the fight with cotto
Sergio would have no case to challenge pac if pac didn't fight Margarito who is bigger than Martinez. Frame, Height, reach, all bigger than Martinez. The only difference is that manny put a weight limit on Margarito which he had to go through hell to make. The thing is that Pac would not even offer that opportunity to Martinez bc Martinez might very well accept the offer and then team pac would shot themselve in the foot and have to fight someone who actually is skilled and strong.
No doubt. Oh ya? I didn't know that Ward considered moving down for Martinez. Learn something new every day. Would be a good fight for boxing fans that's for sure.
guess i must've mixed up the windows and u were prolly goin at it with others on another topic ma bad, apologies
i'd b pissed if team pacquiao offered him 150 and then ***** about it that point u made is the only reason that is somewhat ok, and that's tony was at 150, if serg said he was down then f it, let them do it
yup, wasn't from some whack source either, it was straight from yahoo topic was somethin like "what's next for sergio martinez" or somethin like that, some homie was actually able to find it and posted it here but don't kno where its at now but yea ward was somethin like "i'd be willing to go down to 160, it'd b hard, real hard" somethin like that
