You actually don't think if Martinez weigh in 154 pounds and then weighing in at 164 pounds on fight night would be the same size as margarito when margarito weigh in at 165 pounds on fight night? If Martinez would do that by fighting a fighter in their weight class then why can't Pacquiao fight Bradley, Khan or Marquez at 140 pounds in their weight class? (Not Marquez weight class but it would be a better fight at 140 pounds instead of 144 pounds catchweight bs.)

actually, in an interview while manny was training for the mosley fight, he said he can comfortably make 135lbs cause he walks around 150+
Now im a big gamboa fan and i know he'll be moving to lightweight... For the remaining fights of manny(3) i wouldnt mind seeing him fight a top notch lightweight..

 

When the guy you are calling out is the p4p number 1, and he won a title in your weight division, and you are willing to substantially go down in weight to face him, then it's not cherry-picking. It's business and a tradeoff in physical strength for a chance to be number one. Martinez has no fear and will fight anyone, so hating on him for calling out Pac is stupid. Pacquiao isn't obligated to fight him, but then his weight jumps really don't mean much at all then if he can only win titles against the worst competition at catch-weights below the official divisions
