I cant believe the idiot really think that fighters fight for pride... News flash... Boxing is a business. Why do fighter fight over splits so often...is that about pride or bragging rights? No it's about money... There are so many people that need to grow up and get real... With that kind of concept of money it's not surprising that so many people are broke or live check to check...

 

So I guess its better to claim that you fight for pride and turn down fights because you arent getting paid enough??? Its all in how its veiwed. What Floyd said is what 99% of fighters are thinking..I want to get paid...Dont let that pride crap fool you. We could go right down the list of fighters on the p4p list and all are talking about percentages, PPV money, and so on...But the fighter that admitts the truth is the one that gets bashed???

But PBF isn't 'admitting the truth', hes trying to use money as a reason to make out he's better than Pac, despite the fact that he removed himself from the P4P equation when he retired.

If not being rated #1 P4P anymore doesn't bother PBF, why was he so quick to bring up PPV stats when the interviewer said it, and then brought up Pac's losses :think

Could it possibly have been an attempt to undermine Pac's current P4P #1 status?

See, it goes like this:

Interviewer: Pac is #1 P4P right now
PBF: What about my PPV stats? What about how I'm getting more money than both Hatton and Pac combined for my fight with JMM?
Interviewer: You removed yourself from the P4P equation when you retired
PBF: But what about Pac's 3 losses?

Does he actually prove the interviewer's statement wrong? No, he tries to deflect by undermining Pac. There is nothing honest about it.

 

If I were in his position I would act like I do it for the money too. I don't think that this is true however at all. I believe that he just likes playing the role of someone who is "the bad guy". Plus imagine how demoralizing it is for people who admit they do care about legacy when they start losing rounds to this guy.
