Pacquiao can fight Mosley at 147 but . . .

'Weight Divisions or Weight Classes' exist for a purpose.... if Pac (or any other boxer) cannot make the weight, or lets say it in a better (different) way,....... if he does not belong to that weight class (147 or any other) then he should fight at a weight class that suites him the best...

If every time that a boxer from a lower weight class wants to fight another boxer from a higher weight class under the conditions that the boxer who is in a higher weigh class should come down in weight and fight him at a weight that suites (the boxer in the lower weight class) him the best, then boxing will become a circus....I mean more than it is right now.

I agree, Mosley Ko's Pac at 147

 

144 won't be any different than 147 for Mosley. He will re-hydrate an extra 3 pounds. If he tried to go any lower then yes, he would have major problems and then that taints any victory by Pacquiao if Shane is not physically there.

That's not possible or reasonable. There's no way he can weigh 10 pounds less than he has in nearly a decade. He'd be a zombie. Fighters only weigh what they weigh at the weigh-in for a very short time.

I think its reasonable enough becuase pac weighs only 148 lbs every fight..

 

Shane's been out-weighed by his opponents by 10 pounds + on several occasions. I never heard him ask for a catch-weight.

 

We're not talking a bout a catchweight here genius assuming they will be fighting at 147 lbs WW limit, its all about being fair and square weightwise and a fight being competitive during fight time..

This not just a fight of some bum fighting another bum..:deal

 

Please. When have you ever heard of a 2 hour weigh in before a fight?

Same day weigh in is more than fair. Borderline ridiculous for this day and age.

A WW title fight for Sugar Shane's belt is the way to go and least one sided.

 

Great idea. If the fights at 147 Mosely will come in at 160. That's a THIRTEEN POUND ADVANTAGE!!!!! as Pac can't go above 147/148.

This way they'll both come into the ring around 147 and Mosely won't have to weight drain down to 144. Even if the fight was at 144 Mosely would still come into the ring at 157.

So yes this sounds like a great idea.
