Floyd's camp: There were no negotiation.
HBO: There was indeed a negotiation.

"For all of the Peabody Awards (eight) and all of the Sports Emmy Awards (51), all of the stellar programming decisions (Floyd Mayweather Jr. vs. Oscar De La Hoya) and all of the innovative sports-based shows (24/7, Hard Knocks, etc.) Greenburg introduced over the course of his 33 years with HBO (with 10+ years at the helm of the sports division), his biggest error in judgment was fatal."

Damn he was there for 30 years? That seems harsh for axing him just over the PBF-Pac fight, Arum was playing hardball and wanting to move Pac off HBO, hell he already was doing Top Rank PPV's without HBO.

Not that I really feel sorry for him or anything because he is a rich *******, but I dont think Greenburg can take a majority of the blame for that fight falling through and Pac leaving.

if greenburg would of gave both pac/pbf similar deals to bradley/alexander guaranteeing the loser $20 million for their next fight it would of maybe been made already.

I don't blame HBO for letting him go. Now showtime can try to get other big names to fight in their company. Top Rank has many big names fighters who can attract thousands to millions of fans.

aside from pac--they got pavlik-margarito-cotto-donaire etc.
