I so often here about great fights from today or in rescent time not being seriously mentioned for p4p greatness. I mean, so many people say, no, either pac or floyd shouldnt be near a top 10 all time great list.

I compared 2 great boxer, 1 who is ranked by most in the top 20 and the other who climbed liek 10 divisions and should easily be mentioned in the top 5, yet he is not even mentioned for top 10.

both, about same size and reach, both same weight in these bouts and both near or in prime. it doesn't get a better example than this and if you don't see teh huge difference of explosivness, strength, speed and punchinger power, also overall movemant, than you don't see what is happening in both videos, because the obvious is the obvious.

manny would KO either duran and chavez and has business in the top 10 and **** nostalic feeling, when you fight 100 cans doesnt mean you're greater. chavez did not fought better opposition than pac when you just compare the level or world class fighter they faced. duran yes, but he also lost to barely all of them, have to give him credt, because he wasn't in his favourite weight.

skill wise barrera had better skills than pacquiao, but did he win?

pacquiao is a monster when it comes down to athletictism, pure speed and power and well skill, in the oscar fight, we saw he could be move his body as well his had and perfectly go in and go out and just be as good ofeensivly as defensivly.

morales still had power, sure he was no prime, but still was a very good boxer. maequez (arguably the best out of barrera, morales, marquez) was in his prime when he faced manny and well marquez got put down 3 times, lost the first 2 fights in my book and well I give him credit, he won 3 and surely 4. but remember, altough marquez kod manny, most had pacquiao winning on point, not taking anything away from his ko win.

what did chavez do. get a robbery win vs pernell, get a gift by the ref vs meldrick. lose to oscar. at least manny won vs bigger men than him, like cotto, clottey or margarito.

but guys, forget legacy and all that for one second. just look at the videos and watch 2 fighters of same weight and size, perfect p4p example, because there is realy no big difference in size and tell me manny doesn't look more impressiv, because down the line this is what it comes down to in a fist fight, is he stronger, is he faster and is he more durable and manny is surely superior than julio in those points mentioned.

Rosario, Haugen, Camacho, Whitaker, and Taylor would all rule their respective divisions today, not much doubt about that.

Oscar at 147 would not; that version of Cotto at 147 probably wouldn't; JMM would at 126 and 130, but those are highly contested bouts; Margarito would not; his versions of Hatton and Morales (2) just might, but it's hard to say. Bradley is the most accomplished at 140 but would lose to Taylor and Whitaker.

Pacquiao has an impressive resume, but the contenders of Chavez's era, at least in the condition he fought them, look better.

You can's separate an evaluation of a fighter's skills from an evaluation of his resume. Being good and looking good are two different things. Manny looks more sensational than Marquez side by side, Leonard more gifted than Duran, Bute more skilled than Froch, etc.

Plus, look at Manny's loss to Morales. Chavez wouldn't be so quick on his feet to push Manny back with straight punches out of an upright stance, but his pressure would be no less grueling and his counters no less sharp.

Pac has the best single win, but the depth of Chavez against prime (or close to it) fighters is greater, as is his length of sustained dominance. And those counters wouldn't only be just as sharp, but more damaging as well.

hatton also pressured and came at pacquiao and you know what happened. well chavez is better than hatton, but pac loves the open fight and thats would be the downfall for chavez, because pac hits harder and is more speedy. and chavez would come after him because it was all he ever did.
