Not to mention that Clottey is virtually an unknown good fighter. 1 mil will be a good number; that means Pacquiao is a really big draw.
Pacquiao is a draw no doubt, but if he goes bum of the month club and keeps ducking the obvious and best competitors at welter, then his stock goes down. IMO it went down last night. Not because of anything Pac did in the ring last night, but because of the circumstances and situation that he, Arum, and Roach created leading up to last night's farce.
But how much of that 20-25 mill will Pac (and Clottey) really get? Greedy ass Arum probably convinced Pac a 70% (or whatever) split of PPV was fantastic and kept the rest.
maybe a mil because of the floyd pac hype some might want to see what the fuss is plus its the first decent ppv of the year
What point was that? That it was alright that it didn't draw **** compared to what Mayweather vs Mosley will as they made money out of the stadium? Well done Arum for putting on a fight that the people at home didn't want to see.:thumbsup
900 mil, and i'm being optimistic...I think it was a little dissapointing card overall, and had little promo behind it...
that despite it being totally crap it made huge money due to the 50k seats and the 25m payment from the dallas owner....
Over 1 million should be considered a miracle, because promotion was almost solely by internet, and even that was lacking. I'm guessing 750k-800k.
