He tried to win with the style that he's employed against every opponent and had good success with.

 

I ****ing fell asleep just before the main event, sounds like I didn't miss too much!!

 

Mate, Clottey isn't anything special is he? Why do you think Arum put him in the ring with Pacquiao? He has a low work rate, a good chin and defence and a nice jab - nothing we didn't know beforehand. So when he gets 'outworked' by Manny Pacquiao it is a disgrace?

And he did try, he just couldn't do much at all because of Pacquiao being relentless in his attacks.

You are a supposed world class ww. You shouldnt have that journeyman attitude of claiming a moral victory by going the distance. At least in the last couple of rounds let your hands go. Exactly what is the point of high held guide in the 10th, 11th, 12th round when your 8 rounds down

He done as Uncle Bob wished anyway. Hasnt even attempted to upset the applecart. He will still get more opportunities to find a way to lose

 

He should have tried his best to win. He didnt try his best to win. It was obvious from round 6 or 7 that his strategy was 100% doomed. If he'd have opened up and started swinging at Pacquiao his odds of being knocked out would have greatly increased, but his odds of actually winning would also have increased, its a risk worth taking. What difference does it make wether you get knocked out or go the distance? the aim is to win the fight, not survive.

Its a 'moral' victory. Pacman couldnt 'gobble' him up. A story to tell his grandkids perhaps

He hasn't got that type of mentality, the Cotto fight was there for the taking and he couldn't/ woudn't step it up and go for it.

 

I didn't see anything from Pacquiao to suggest that he can beat Mayweather.Clottey did have some isolated moments of success with the jab and the odd straight right

How come we didn't get the post fight interviews?Was it because the pictures were borrowed from TR or something because usually we see Larry's interview

 

Boring fight and I'm glad I didn't stay up to watch it!
