Kenny: "You think Marquez is a bigger draw than Shane?"

Floyd "JMM has a country behind him, a country, A COUNTRY....and we all know black and mexican fighters dominating for years and you always get your biggest fights when they come together"

Tell me this: Why did Floyd not have a sell-out at the gate and they had to drop prices and had much lower priced ringside seats then at Pac vs Cotto?

These are good ppv numbers. I'm glad the fight did good. Pac is popular, but not as popular as Floyd imo. If PAc were to beat Floyd, he could become big, but he has to fight him. People who blog boxing know PAc, but people who blog and talk boxing in the street know Floyd. Pac needs Floyd because while the boxing community knows PAc, the world doesn't yet.

I thought it would be more, but congrats to Manny Pacquiao and Miguel Cotto anyway. A Mayweather vs Pacquaio wouldn't sell that much more, though. Probably around 1.5 or 1.6 million.

good stuff...not bad...Pac and Cotto both deserve credit and Pac is the bigger draw so he deserves more credit on the draw power....

That dont happen that often, the numbers normally go down.

This is stupid, all the who is the bigger draw bull****, it would be one thing if the two were going trading ppv numbers, but that isnt the case. Every time there is an excuse. At the end of the day Floyd is the bigger draw, get over it and stop making excuses. I think that everyone knows that Floyd is the bigger draw but hatred of him wont allow them to admitt it. All the Hatton carried floyd and Oscar carried floyd and JMM carried Floyd is bull****, if that were the case then explain why all those fighters also has thier biggest numbers vs Floyd?? It make no-sense for all this proof to be excused away. Oh its the holidays, oh its the recession, oh Pac isnt American, JMM is more known then Cotto, its all bull ****. Pac vs Cotto being $5 more is also bull****, I dont know about everyone eles but both of my PPV's cost me $59.99. If your going to order if 5 bucks isnt going to stop you. Plus didnt floyd vs JMM go head to head with a big MMA card??? I could be wrong but I dont recall a big MMA event this past weekend.

At the end of the day none of this matters, in fact I think that Pac vs Cotto doing the same numbers as Floyd vs JMM actaully hurts the fight.

Pac : "I fight for legacy not money"

If thats the case give a certain someone a 60/40 split and shut the **** up.

Its quite funny if it wasnt for arum putting up the extra money to give pac the leverage in the purse against hatton. Then we would have never saw pac v hatton:lol:

Pac has you fooled but not me. That guy loves money just as much as the next guy:good

So now he is a bigger draw then Floyd was right ? Will this hurt now that Pacquiao has every advantage for being the draw, a Champion and number 1 p4p so will Floyd still want 60-40.

"'Ellerbe criticized Cotto's HBO and pay-per-view ratings, and said the Puerto Rican is not fiscally or historically appealing enough.'

'It has nothing to do with Cotto's ability or talent, because I happen to believe he's a very good fighter,' Ellerbe said. 'I just don't think he brings enough to the table. Right now, he's not a draw in boxing. Outside of the hardcore press, nobody cares. If nobody's watching, what makes the guy important?'"

Now Cotto is a "dance partner", this was the reason they didn't want to fight Cotto.

Bull****...Floyd-Baldimir did 350k before ODH, Dancing with the stars and Ricky Hatton... Floyd is too big to fight a "non big name tune up"...that says a lot within its self...
