You have to agree though, going up in weight to capture those belts is greater for legacy then fighting JMM another time??? Its not like Pac stayed within the division and took bigger $$ less risky fights instead of another JMM fight.
A 3rd fight with Marquez would have done more for Pac legacy than a paper championship at a higher weight
NO WAY! C'mon, his legacy is cemented by going up to fight DIaz/Hatton/ODH/Cotto and winning, rather then staying to fight JMM again.
If PBF was to fight Cotto in March, I think it would do around the same numbers, probably about 1mil. It'll be more interesting than JMM-PBF but at the same time, theres not as many PR as ther are Mex, Cotto's stock has also dropped a bit from the lost, just as Hatton's did against Pac.
If Floyd does not agree to a 50/50 with Pac... he'll get lower returns with any other fighter even if he got 100% with them. If he walks away from 50/50, the only conclusion would be he's scared.
We know who the bigger draw is between Floyd and PAc. We can't imagine if PAc was American, we can't change Floyd's attitude or style so that you guys can say that Floyd is exciting. Enough scientific boxing fans know that Floyd can fight, and don't care if you think he is boring. We're just tired of PAc fighting bums, inferior comp and old men. The small man syndrome is dead. 50-50 and the fight at 147 or Pac will officially be called a ***** forever.
Floyd deserves more period, yet I won't scream that he does...and if PAc out drew Floyd against common opponents, you'd be saying that PAc deserves more so stop being phony.
50/50 at 147 - I agree. But Pac doesn't duck opponents. You're probably referring to Mayweather, who's even afraid of Cotto. Yet, Pac showed him.
Just think of the **** that would be piled on Floyd had he not had a rematch with Castillo??? What is so different with Pac and JMM, beatting Hatton, Cotto and oscar still doesnt mean that he would have beat JMM, he hadnt yet. JMM fights a different style then those guys and that is the reason that Manny had so much trouble with him, and I believe that Manny was weight drained.
Nope. We are in a recession, and we were when Pac fought DLH and Hatton. I would be logical enough to look at the most recent fights. But you'ld probably dismiss the fact that recession had anything to do with the slump. Even if it's clear that right now... so far, 1.25 is greater than 1. If you need help, my 4 year old girl can help explain that to you.
