I can't link to the article here. It's on another site.

    Here's the summary:

Pacquiao watched the fight. He thought it was a good fight. He and his adviser Michael Koncz discussed a potential rematch with Cotto after tonight's fight ended. Koncz said such a showdown could be a "Plan B" if negotiations don't come to fruition with Mayweather.

Fair enough. They're trying with team Mayweather for the second time now so let's see how it goes. At least we know he's still planning to take a good fight and a move up in weight yet again.

It looks like it's in Mayweather's hands now. Get your popcorn ready as the negotiations roll on! :p

Moneywise, it can be the best choice after Mayweather, but I would rather see him take on the best at 140 if the Mayweather discussion falls off.

But if ever, I ****in' hope it will not be in a catchweight match again. He wants Cotto's belt at 154, he has to fight him at that weight then.

Not really a fight I want to see again but financially its probably the best fight Pacquiao can get if the negotiations with Mayweather somehow fail again.

How about fighting the best at 154 with a title, Sergio Martinez who also is not a come-forward type fighter.

I really wish there was only one title in each division instead of all these belts to collect that clouds history.

That would be cool too. I would be in favor of a fight with Bradley or Alexander.

I would like for it to be a last resort. If it HAD to come down to choosing between Margo and Cotto, I'd definitely go with Cotto. Problem would be the weight. Cotto shouldn't have to make it down to 145 again. No way. Either Pac fights him at 154 or perhaps a catchweight at 150-ish. With Steward being in Cotto's corner he should be able to negate Roach's attempt to gain big advantages before the fight. Would love to see Cotto win. Needless to say Pac would be the clear favorite to win again. But...if they are to fight at 154 - who knows, Pac could be a lot slower which would take his huge advantage away.

    it's on the scene...

Koncz said the idea is “to see what happens” adding that “if the Mayweather fight is not made then we’ll go to plan B” which could mean a fight against Antonio Margarito, Cotto or even Juan Manuel Marquez who has been crying out for a third and last shot at Pacquiao with whom Marquez salvaged a draw in their first meeting after being dropped three times in the first round and lost the rematch by a split decision after being dropped once more in the fourth round.

I would love another Marquez match. To hell with this Mayweather fight already, it's not happening as both sides are damn divas. Even though Pac pretty much beats Marquez now, I would love to watch that fight as the first two were great fights.

    WAR MARQUEZ!

There is nothing to gain at this point in beating Marquez. Pac won't get any credit, the excuses are lining up. I rather he slay a new strong lion.
