True that. But Pac already has a secured legacy in place. He can go to 154 but he most likely will fight the weakest link there. And in all honestly he likely (notice I said likely, not absolutely) loses a UD to Mayweather.

Marquez vs Pac 1 and 2 were great fights.

It would finish a well deserved trilogy as the fights were damn close.

Besides, there is much he can gain. He has the chance to silence critics that say he lost those two fights (Which in my opinion he lost narrowly)

That's the great thing about it though, the first two were so damn close the I could tell you he lose, and you'd swear he won, and both of is can be right.

A third fight will give Marquez what he wants most, Pac is almost guaranteed a win, and the fans can watch another great fight.

There's really no one that Pacquiao can fight at 140. I mean Bradley and Alexander are upcoming fighters, if Pacquiao fights them and annihilates them he'll get criticize for fighting them. And Kahn is out of the question since both have the same trainer and that Kahn is in the same case as Bradley and Alexander.

Pacquiao's best choice to is to fight Mayweather (if Mayweather wants to fight him) or go up in weight to fight Cotto at 154 (no catch weight). Pacquiao vs Cotto II will be an interesting match considering Cotto has a better trainer compared to when he fought Pacquiao the first time.

Bradley is not a big enough fight.
Floyd is either in negotiations or in retirement
154 - That would be an interesting fight but he's a tad too big I reckon

If you think that Pacquiao lost against Marquez then that's your opinion and everyone else thinks that Pacquiao won (narrowly). In my opinion, MP vs JMM III would be pointless unless Pacquiao is willing to go down to 135. Marquez will just get massacred above 135. I think that JMM is already slow and fat at 135, I doubt he'll be able to improve if he moves up considering that he is already 36. Pacquiao will get no credit beating him. It's better if he just moves up in weight to fight Cotto or Martinez or Williams or fight Mayweather at 147.

It'd be interesting to see if they'll (jr. middle weights) use 8oz gloves against Pacquiao. And it'd be interesting how Pacquiao will handle the power of a jr middle weight boxer. Pacquiao receive some damage against Cotto at 147.

I think Bradley is a bigger draw compare to Alexander/Maidana and Pac will not surely fight and exposed Khan's chin again

@147 i dont see other fights except for floyd

@154 Maravilla is bigger but the fight will be a total war, he can also fight cotto at that weight for his 8th division.

if manny still wants to fight if a second pac-money fails, then pac should clean up 140 or 147 then retire. fight berto or mosley for unification

Berto - waste of time, pac only has 1-2 fights left before retiring we dont wanna see him wasting his time to Bertwitter

Mosley - after his lost to May, we havent heard anything from Mosley hope he's thinking of just retiring, hes turning 39(?) pac haters will just say he beat another old/shot fighter who Floyd had already beaten.

See that's the thing. It's not "everyone else." Why is it that occasionally there are threads that come up on the subject and it usually is split down the middle. I'm not saying your wrong, I'm saying that we both most likely have valid points to why we saw which fighter win.

I'm not saying Pac has to fight him. I'm saying that if the fight came up. I'd pay for it.

Pac already beat Cotto convincingly, so what's the point of that fight?

The rematch would have to take time, they JUST fought half a year ago. Wait and see if Cotto can make it back first.

Alot of people believe Marquez won both fights, as do alot of people think Pac won both. To not think so is being ignorant.

It was said he had nothing to gain. I simply pointed out that he, like you mentioned, would most likely beat him. Benefit for Pac. Years on down the line he won't have to here why he didn't rematch Marquez after the life and death fight they had. Legacy wise if finishes off that. We all know Marquez would give his right nut to get a chance at Pac again. and it would be a good fight while it lasts.

Besides, it's not about who you or I want him to fight next. It's what Arum wants.

This rematch would be a joke of a fight. Beating yuri foreman doesn't mean you're ready for the 2nd best fighter in the world, especially after he just beat you. I hope cotto would upset him.
