Pacquiao could pass Floyd on the ATG list

Pac is slightly above Floyd in my opinion. That farce of a fight between them did nothing for either's reputation. The injury, the drugs, the lateness, and the lack of any action couldn't do anything for either but tarnish their legacies. If Floyd had beaten Pac in 2009-10 I'd give him props but he gets no credit for beating the shell of a once great fighter in that condition, especially not the way he did it. Overall, the head to head contest shouldn't even enter into how the two are evaluated. It was far too late and under dubious circumstances like Jones Jr vs Hopkins 2.

During their primes, Pac just did way more than Floyd. He beat better guys. He beat some of the same guys better than Floyd did. And he moved up more weight classes. Pac > Floyd and Jones jr. > Hopkins.

 

Pac is great at what? Taking PED's or fighting slow plodding Hispanic fighters after black guys beat them first? Pac was never great and will never be great. The only people who like him are casual boxing fans and morons who don't know a thing about boxing. Mayweather is vastly superior to Pac in every way and Mayweather is overrated.

 

Lots of fighter retire undefeated throughout history.
But there might be only one 8 division champ.
He also fight all types and away from home. Every opponents above lightweight are literary bigger than him, his last fight at lightweight was in 2008. That is 9 years fighting above his weight.
Pacman achieved greatness, status, fame, ppv king and adulation from the whole world.
More people in the world knows Pac than mayweather. That is a fact.

 

Floyd achieved it b4 he did, got way more ppv buys, and Pac would have never been #1 p4p if Floyd had not retired to a body injury.

Floyd has amassed the much better wins, and he also smashed Pacquiao.

Many know that most of those division wins aren't legitimate, and I agree!!!

He's fought more catchweights and people over the hill than anyone in history!

He's truly not had 1 great win (Pacquiao). Being honest, sorry.

Floyd is a great fighter. As some one said h2h is not the end all for measurement of greatness.
Duran lost all his fights within the fab 4, but ranked always higher than all of them. Floyd beating pac do not propel floyd to top 10 ATG.
However pac beating floyd arguably WILL.

 

I think there is a case for both of them...I tend to think they are rather close to each other no matter how you rank them.

That being said Floyd is leaps and bounds better than Pac in a H2H comparison...no where near each other.....NO WHERE!

For me Manny Pacquaio has always been the better of the two. Let me explain......
Manny had to FIGHT !! for everything he achieved. He came up the hard way. Yes he had losses early on because he was put in way over his head a 15-17 yr old kid taking on seasoned veteran fighters. He had to fight all comers to feed his family. Manny is a FIGHTER!!!!!!!!!! & an ATG champion One of the very best

Now Floyd Mayweather jr ?? He was born with incredible God Given boxing talents that cannot be denied. All through his career he was protected & Matched VERY carefully to say the least. I cannot remember a fight of his in Vegas where he wasn't given every advantage some legal some illegal over every cherry picked opponent he faced. He was always suspected of Ped's abuse too but nothing was proven till May 1 & May 2 2015. The cloud of suspicion over the illegal excessive 750 mil saline treatment he was caught receiving & the lack of BELIEVABLE reasons for him needing it Plus the NSAC allowing Floyd to submit a TUE for the saline THREE WEEKS after he was caught receiving it & GRANTING it is ludicrous.
You say the better man was decided when they fought on May 2 2015 I agree it was BUT disagree on who is better in my opinion Emmanuel Dapidran Pacquaio is
