Fact: Floyd retired for fear of fighting Cotto. He will retire again for fear of facing Pacman.:good:good:good

Excellent thread. Manny will be be thoroughly outboxed by PBF if they ever fight. He can't deal with a good jab, counter punchers, movement and defense nor has he faced a combo of all. When he faces a defensive counter-puncher like PBF he will be frustrated because he won't be able to hit PBF like he has everyone else not only that he will get hit for his mistakes and the fact that PBF won't play his game like everyone else by going to war. He will then become even more reckless and get picked apart even more. I see Pac winning 2 rounds at best in this fight. PBF is a stylistic nightmare for Manny and Roach, Arum and his fans know it.:deal

It's not *******ism; I'm talking about the intangibles. However, you my friend are delusional and ignorant. I'm not talking about Manny being a Messiah, you dummy. Did anyone ever mentioned that? I don't think anyone ever mentioned that he is a Messiah. Moreover, Im not in the Philippines you dumb ass; I'm in COB Delta, IZ killing terrorist so that your dumb ass have the freedom to make delusional comments in here. One more thing, you're a total dumb ass if you think that all of Pacman's fans are Filipinos or from the Philippines, and Oh BTW, since you mentioned Messiah, do you know what that word means? Yep...I thought so, you're a Moron, who convinced yourself that you can carry an adult conversation. BTW, your handle sounds like a Filipino word, perhaps you're Pinoy but a sell out Pinoy. Moron!

Good points, but the thing is when FMW counters do you think Pacman will just stand there and get hit often? He may get hit once or twice; however, the most common reaction would be to cover your face or to punch back. Am I right? Knowing how Pacman fights he will probably punch back to defend himself. He may do a couple of things, as well, while protecting himself such as side step or just turn him, which Pacman loves to do to his opponents. He may not be able to hit Floyd like his previous opponents, but FMW will get hit in this fight, and it's going to hurt. It's also possible that Pacman will get picked apart while punching back due to bad balance and reckless aggression, but I don't think he will do that stupid move often. I think he will fight this fight smartly, and I can see him hurting Floyd through sheer aggression while Floyd is on the defense. I love his crazy angles, and those punches throwm from all angles are going to hurt Floyd once they connect, and don't tell me Floyd is going to avoid all of those because he is not superman. LOL.

I'll slightly challenge your contention that strenghth did'nt play a part in Marquez-Mayweather.....

Let me put it this way. The fighter to beat Mayweather is got to have freakish characteristics like Paul Wiliams, height, reach, etc.......
......or in the case that they dont have those characteristics......a fighter like Marquez who was at a disadvantage in every physical category, height, reach, speed, quickness, etc.......now Marquez is not void of skill, but he had to bring something physical to the table to have some kind of advantage so that he could set his skill off to exploit......
For example, had Marquez been physically stronger than Mayweather, he could have used arms, elbows, physical bumping strategies to throw Mayweather off in his rhythm......

You go back and look at that Marquez-Mayweather fight, not only does Mayweather have all the physical and size advantages.....but he also employed the physical strenghth strategies I mentioned Marquez could have if he at least was as strong as Mayweather...I'm talking about arms, elbows, and bumping strategies.

My point is that Strenghth was a factor that Mayweather used to his advantage against Marquez......Marquez could not go that route in that he was'nt as strong as Mayweather.........it was clear as day in Marquez attempts to cut off the ring......Mayweather would just body up Marquez and use his physical strenghth to nullify it.

    Did Mayweather use skill?????
Of course......but he used his physical strenghth as well.

Now having said that, I agree with you and I to am of the opinion that its going to be a one sided affair in favor of Mayweather against Pacquiao.

Pacquiao has'nt been using physical strenghth to bully the likes of DLH, Hatton and Cotto.......what got those fighters beat was speed.....those three could'nt cope with it.
In Mayweather we're talking about a fighter who's just as fast, plus he's quicker to get off than Pacquiao....
Not only quicker, but much quicker.

I think Pacquiao need to impose strenghth strategies and try to implement a plan to bully Mayweather.
I just dont see Mayweather getting beat with pure and clean speed drills, which is what Pacquiao employs.

Pacquiao has to impose something other than that, and I think like Marquez, he's just not physically there to impose himself strenghtwise on Mayweather, like bodying him up and using brute force to open up avenues for speed flurries.

I saw a Roach interview a few days ago and he said that he knows how to beat Mayweather.

He said that if the fight happens, it would not be the usual kind of Pacquiao fight. Hinting that the fight might be a bit more technical than past Pac fights. And they would need at least 10 weeks of physical training and strategizing to be ready for Floyd.

Having Jose Luis Castillo in the camp while preparing for Cotto didnt hurt either. They had some chats about the Floyd fight, he said, and he got some more insights about Floyd.

Good point Divac, I like your point of view this time, lol. I think Roach and Pac are looking at that as well. Pacquiao will use his speed with brute strenght to defeat FMW physically and mentally. The dude is freaking explosive.

It won't work on PBF when PBF counters two things will happen. One he won't be there after he counters or two he'll immediately clinch Pac fight off of it or push off and repeat. PBF is by far the smartest and best fighter Pac has fought. Pac will get a lesson in the sweet science when this fight takes place I guarantee it.:deal Another thing those crazy angles will get you into trouble againts a accurate and deadly counter-puncher. Pac will pay for his flawed style against a master technician like PBF.

marquez cant be that good of a counterpuncher because he lost and was knocked down 4 times in 2 fights against a weight drained and not prime pac.
