    good post....& observation

in the Mayweather-marquez fight....early on..IMO he was just throwing the left hook because Marquez counters with his righthand so JMM would either have to counter Mayweather's left hook with his right (which is wayy to slow to hit Mayeather lunging in) or block...he wasnt fast enough to do either...lol....

once Mayweather conditioned Marquez to the left hand..he switched up on him and started throwing the right......smart guy!:thumbsup

All this is pretty well known by now. I mean did anyone here not know that Marquez a good counter puncher gave Pacquiao hell? Where's the excellent analysis?

This is all I see regarding Mayweather, how he would school every fighter ever, how he would school Pac, Mosley, Williams, but I never get to see the fights. Hopefully this time we'll get to see it.

That is the kind of irrational comment that seems out of orther in a analisis post like this. How paq will do this???? That paq can win, of course he can win, any fighter can win a fight by a lucky punch. But the style of Paquiao is the perfect example to Floyd show his abilities. The improved Paquiao was counterpunched by Cotto who is not a counter puncher and is a heavy bag to take punches. If you dont like Floyd, that is fine. If you want that somebody came and shut up the big mouth of Mayweather thas fine too. But to be posting stupid comments and do not give credit to the most acomplish fighter of this generation and one of the best, if not the most complete fighter of all time, that is an insult to the intelligence. Floyd has been champion in 5 categories and has won so easily going up in weight, that sometimes his fight has no drama. But that is not his fault. It seems to me that some people critice him for being so good. Examine the caracteristic of Floyd and tell me how some people can talk so much sh.... First stamina, non an issue in any of his professional fights. Defense, can anyone in this forum who can argue something against his defense???? Offense. Floyd dominates all types of punches to perfection, hook, jabs, straights, and in the body puncher category he is an animal too. No matter how strong or how offensive the fighter is, he always find the way to go down consistent in an effective manner. Look at Cotto, a guy who throw only a strong left hook and when he is taking damage he cant throw the punch. Look his fight to Judah, he started to go to the body when Judan was dead. Floyd start to go the body as early as the first rounds. Balance, Floyd is always in balance when he throw or take punches, can you say the same of Cotto or Paquiao??? And most important he can go from a defensive position to an offensive one and viceversa on the fly, whithout any kind of trouble. If Cotto is in the offensive he does not has defense and when is running in a defensive style he cant be offensive at all, and Paquiao he has no defense, his offense is his defense. Floyd is the closest to a perfect fighter that the story has seen. That he can lose, of course. Ray leonard lose, Ray Robinson lose, Ali lose, and that fact relegates their greatness to nothing?? Please dont let emotions cloud your judgement. If you think that Paquiao can win to Mayweather. That is perfect, valid and you will have your intelligent analisis on why. But stupid opinions whithout any kind of fact, is simply stupid. I think that Floyd can beat Paquiao in a solid way, including a late round ko. But Paqman is an incredible fighter who was won the respect of the public and the fighting community with facts in the same way that Floyd have does, but in a very different style. To the original post, the deficiencies shown by Paq are not present in Mayweather. How can paq mop the floor with Floyd. Tell me how, because nobody has been able to do that, and fighters of much less caliber than Floyd has been able to do that to Paq.

    :-(

this thread was not to diss Pac....but fact remains that since Marquez (just last year) he hasnt faced fighters that could counter his style they all have been stylistic advantages...not even the biggest Pac fan can deny that

and Pac's trainer admitted, right handed counter punchers is the style of fighter he thinks can beat Pac

I agree...he stood up to alot of shots...

IMO Mayweather is the stronger, faster more accurate puncher

marquez has shown the blueprint on how to beat pac, no current fighter in world boxing can stand toe-toe with pac and be certain that they will come out better, mosley is the only fighter who probably could.

but when someone chooses to box him he is easy to hit, he comes forward with both hands down so when you take a backward step you can connect. marquez gave a boxing masterclass, he should have been given the decision in the second fight.

when cotto chose to box he was doing well, the straight left was landing for fun for, he lost the fight when he stood toe-toe because pac could handle his punches but he couldn't do the same.

floyd will box circles around pacquiao showing that he is the greatest of this era.

    GREAT POST!!

    and btw.....

Bob Arum on Mayweather (before the Zab Judah fight):

"Floyd is the best fighter i’ve seen in 40 years other than the young Muhammad Ali, there are a number of aspects that make a great fighter. One is speed. His speed is phenomenal. The way he throws punches, phenomenal. The way he is conditioned, phenomenal. I mean, he’s the entire whole package. And beside all of those skills he’s the most intelligent fighter that I have ever seen. I mean, Floyd, this is no bull****; Floyd can see a punch coming before the other guy knows he’s going to throw it. Do you understand that? I mean, I have never seen such ring intelligence that Floyd demonstrates. And so he’s the whole package, and you know, Ray Leonard was a great fighter, Marvin Hagler was a great fighter, Duran certainly was great, Oscar had a couple of years where he was very good, but there’s nobody that is a whole package like Floyd."

I believe Pac has improved every fight since Diaz.Pac is more confidant than ever and at this weight and condition.c otto has way more power than Marquez or Myweather. Yet Pac ate cotto's punches and walked him down., Mayweather will counter and land but the question is will it be enough to keep pac off him. i say no.

I don't know what hand he is, but Hatton is clearly a left hand dominant fighter.
