what does it say about Manny, the faster stronger fighter throwing More punches and landing less?

Against Marquez whos only defense is his counter punching. :think

Clean punches are usually the reason we see KD's. There is NO FACTS when prediciting the outcome of a fight that hasn't happened yet. Cotto was suppose to beat PAC along with everyone else PAC has faced, dominated and out classed. Floyd is anther ball game and he'll present anther challenge. It think he'll edge PAC but it won't be easy for Floyd in any way.

are we not talking about Counter punching & defense?

why has Manny only fought left hand dominant fighters who dont have defense, and stand right in front of him?

Why when faced against a right handed counter puncher he doesnt look like this UNSTOPPABLE force and gets out boxed and out landed?:huh

What's it say about ALI who was by far the more talented fighter than Ken Norton who struggled against a man who on PAPER Ali should have outcalssed and beaten easily?

Manny isn't the kind of fighter like Floyd who is conservative.....punches only when there are openings. Manny was fighting a very good defensive counter puncher who could also bang. PAC was willing to throw many punches...eat a few to land the more effective and more damaging shots.

JMM's "D" is not just his contering homie...you got it twisted. JMM uses angles and lateral movement to create offensive opportunities.

Ah the # 1 fan of JMM is back!

You've such a fan that you can write a book about JMM's close fight with PAC! I can't blame you coz if there is no PAC in JMM's resume JMM is PRACTICALLY almost nobody!

Unless you want to hype Juan Diaz and CASA! That's about it! It's going to be a short book if it comes to ACTUAL ACHIEVMENT!

Since it's such a short book. Might as well write a novel on each round of JMM's fight with PAC!:rofl

How many times have I told you PAC defy's logic?!

Too bad! JMM does not DEFY LOGIC! :deal

No worries I wouldn't spoil your simple joy of reminiscing those moments. I personally like to have a PAC vs JMM III before the PAC vs pbf but it will end the good memories of JMM! If you think PAC is still the same PAC which fought JMM you are in for a rude
    awakening!

I'll be totally disappointed if JMM is still standing on the 8th round. After all jmm kissing the canvass is a tradition right?!?

LOL, you will not get answers............because Pacfans are not fight fans they are Pacfans, they cannot break a fight down if you put a gun to their head.

The Wild Card dude knows some **** but he is usually just spinning his fighters similar what he did with Toney...................

Counter punching is a combination of offense and defense....so we can incorporate both into the discussion.

Are we really questioning Manny's choice of dance partners in the squared circle? For real homie? Real talk......Manny has faced the superior comp than anyone in this era. To nit pick on fighting Cotto, EM, MAB, JMM, DLH, Ricky ect....is like faulting Leonard for facing the likes of Duran, Hearns and Hagler b/c they were more boxer/punchers than slick defensive fighters.

There is no shame in having a close fight with an all time great counter puncher like JMM. He was prime when PAC beat him in their first fight.....2nd fight PAC still won and JMM was a more expericencd fighter who was a bit past his best physical prime.....still a great win!

Before Pacquiao faced Cotto, I was saying that Mosley was an easier fight for Pacquiao because Mosley has shown to be vulnerable against fighters that move their feet......and if Pacquiao made Mosley come to him, he'd beat him quite easily......

Roach apparently felt much more comfortable sending Pacquiao in against Cotto.....and its because he would'nt have to change anything as far as gameplanning was concerned from Pac's two previous fights with DLH and Hatton.....
Cotto though better refined boxistically than those two, was still a fighter who's main asset was his left hand, particularly the hook to the body and head.

Pacquiao it seems has it down pat on how to nullify the left hand of a fighter who fights mainly relying on it.

.....which takes me back to why Roach likely chose Cotto over Mosley for Pacquiao to fight.
Mosley does have a solid right hand....in fact its a powerful one.......and eons above that those of Pacquiaos previous three opponents.

You're absolutely correct.....in Mayweather, Pac has to worry about two fists, and not just trying to nullify the one left.

The public is now calling for the Mayweather fight, so Pac may have no choice but to fight him.

The last time the public clamored for Pacquiao to fight someone was his rematch with JMM........and really Roach knew better even back then.....they did'nt want that fight and for good reason.

.....Team Pacquiao actually were forced into that fight when they made an offer to Marquez they thought he'd refuse......less than 25% split for Marquez (when even *******s back then were saying Marquez deserved 40%) and the fight at 135 lbs, not at 130 lbs.......

Marquez then publicly and through the media first made claim, "I'll accept to everyone of their demands."

.......and team Pacquiao who made the offer only because they believed Marquez would reject it, were cornered by their own offer and had no choice but to fight Marquez.

The result showed us why Roach did'nt want the Marquez fight to begin with. Pacquiao could never defend Marquez smashing him with a right hand everytime he threw a left.

When your trainer say's "It could have gone either way", which Roach said after both Pacquiao's fights with Marquez.........
......in boxing that s code for, "we lost, but feel fortunate the Pacquiao name carried the day."

Kid, you are setting yourself up for some major dissapointment...............start to learn the fight game, go to a boxing gym, watch some pros spar, leave your emotions at the door .

Instead of idolizing a fighter idolize yourself. Life will be better,

Not that Floyd shouldn't.....it's just not in his DNA. Floyd is a fighter who fights best on the outside where he's nice, comfortable and out of danger. He don't mix it up with guys on his level. He uses his natural gifts and attributes to stay clear and out of range where he can dip in and out to pot shot and counter on opportunities that present themselves.

When he faces a guy below him....like Sosa, Gatti ect...you'll see the man mix it up and you see what he's capable of. For him to risk trading with a superior offensive fighter would be like PAC trying to lay on the ropes and use the Philly style, shoulder roll defense on Floyd.

But I do see PAC getting Floyd in a corner and MAKING floyd fight out! And That is where PAC will win rounds. Floyd is smart enough not to get into those spots too often which is why I feel PAC won't win a decision. He won't be able to corner Floyd, force him into a fight for the majority of the fight.

For PAC to win he'll have to captiolize on the moments that are HIS! and Get a KD or end the fight .......Floyd's "D" is very good and even though I feel Floyd will be the worse for wear in the toe to toe exchanges I feel he'll be able to avoid the most damaging of blows from Manny en route to a close razor decision "W".
