NewsFlash assholes...As fighters move up, they tend to lose speed and power. This is supposed to be the NEW and improved Pacquiao anyway. It's funny how blazing fast he looks shadow boxing or against stationary opponents...Put in a guy is not terribly fast, but knows how to use his feet and body and Pac hardly looks incredibly fast...
Both Pacquiao and Mayweather have looked faded for a number of years. I thought Mayweather looked more faded against Ortiz than I've seen him look in any other fight. Pacquiao looked pretty bad against Mosley. He looked plodding a lot of the time. Mayweather's looked past his absolute peak for a longer period of time though.
Anyone who thinks he didn't from the Cotto fight to the Mosley bout is deluded. There is a clear decline there.
I just think that by the time they ever fight, it's already too late, there will always be people on one side or the other claiming that their guy was past his best. There are fights I would rather see now, Ward vs Bute for one
some of u say that pacquiao has slowed down, got old, and is washed up now. there has been a slight decline just lik ALL fighters that reach over 30 but nothing big. i didnt see any difference in pacquiaos speed, stregnth, stamina, or style when he fought marquez or mosley. he fought SMART boxers. of course pacquiao is gonna look great against a slow brawler that comes straight at u like margarito aka a punching bag. u *******s fell into the hype and got a reality check. why is it so hard to believe that marquez who had 2 other contrevesial fights with pacquiao wouldnt be able to compete this time? did y'all really believe that "new fighter" that has a "right hand" bull**** lol. it sounds ur already makin excuses for pacquiao if he loses to mayweather and alot of y'all are afraid to eat your words. if not? prove me wrong. Tell me exactly what has changed in pacquiao from now to pre-marquez and mosley fights(de la hoya, hatton, cotto, margarito)
Like another poster said, it's his mentality. From fighting bigger and bigger guys these past few years he's grown accustomed to counterpunching that he's not the same gungho filipino that jumps in at awkward times, does his damage in the exchange, and hops back out.
people have been talking about Pac declining for nearly 2 years, when he started talking about retirement. to say that talk started after his recent fight with JMM is just bull****
If you're going to judge that based on the Marquez fight then Pacquiao has been in decline since his rematch with Marquez. Fact is, Marquez will always make Pacquiao look bad, his style is made to do just that.
the last part of your sentence is just ignorant. what you are saying is pacquiao is already declining. other bouts where he looked were just because his opponents were weight drained, old, past prime and tailor made.
