I heard a lot about how Pac has weak defense and Floyd was going to land the right ALL NIGHT Long. That Pac is reckless, etc... Well, interestingly Mayweather's connect % was one of his lowest ever. Againt Maidana 1 54% Against Maidana 2 51% Against Canelo 46% Pacquiao? 34%! how come? Pacquiao's movement, defense and ability to counter also was effective vs Floyd, give him props here. I think Floyd has a career 50% connect ratio and it was much worse vs Pacman. Probably the most accurate puncher ever, had more trouble vs Pacman than most of his 47 opponents.

All you want to hear is how amazing Floyd is, TBE. for the record i have repeatedly stated i thought Floyd won 115-113 or 116-112 but strongly disagreed with the two of the lopsided scores because Floyd gets ALL rounds that are close, even when he does little. I don't think he lost though and this thread got on your nerves cause it showed something good about Pac's skills. All you wanna read or see is stuff to make Floyd look good. The connect % is worthy of discussion cause a lot of you idiots claimed Pac was gonna hit easily, which was dead wrong. The fact that Floyd's connect % was quite low compared to his avg is a credit to Pac's defensive skills, which many of you underestimated. your initial response was just totally idiotic, no way around it.

Mayweather's lowerst connect % was actually 26% against Cotto. His connect percentage in this fight was closer to that of the Hatton fight(39%). In this fight though, he landed around 50% of his power punches, which is right about his average.
they both played it safe hence very low output and no fireworks. the fight was not a display of both boxers abilities.

Many expected Floyd to be as accurate as he has ever been, or even more accurate but he wasn't. stop turning this into anything but what the thread is about. Pac's defense is very good, underrated. yes, Cotto was lower. Again though, Mayweather's career % is 50% and many expected Pac to be easy to hit, it wasn't the case. He isn't easy to hit, at all.
