    Things change really quickly.

I remember I think the Pacquiao Hatton post fight interview (Top Rank feed), when they asked Manny and Arum who Manny will probably face next, and Arum was rattling off a handful of probable candidates at 140, just about saying anybody and everybody in the weight class will be considered and then said

Arum: "But probably not Miguel Cotto!" (laughs)

Manny: "No No No!" (laughs, almost embarrassed and a tad "intimidated" of that match up)

We all know what happened after that.

If you remember, there was an article saying Pacquiao just signed a contract with Arum saying he will fight 2-3 more years, which is 5-6 more fights. Which means he will milk Pacquiao even more and more, and on the article if i remember correctly, Arum has already set the opponents who Pacquiao will face, Cotto vs Jr Chavez, and when Cotto wins that vs Margarito, when Cotto wins that Cotto/Pacquiao II for the 154 title. Arum has it all planned out already and it doesnt include Floyd's name.

"He won't retire before 2013. He told me that on the day of his birthday in the Philippines. Between 2011, 2012 and 2013, he plans to have six fights." Arum

Do the Math. The fighters' asking guaranteed purse is already $100M combine. That alone would already ask for at least 2M ppv. Everybody assumes it would sell at least 3M, but what if it didn't?

Like what I said, Arum already has done it twice and so much headache, why go through it again if he can make sure money with easier fights to make. Great example is the Mosley fight, people still bought. And people would still but the JMM fight out of their curiosity.
