it would be the same at 140 since jmm was not proven also at the weight.

That's another reason why it's worse. 140 is to 135 than 144 is though

Manny agreed last year but that was to the 14 day cut off...which was something Floyd said he was alright with. Floyd moved off that when he beat Shane. So in 2011...PAC has been consistant with stating he has agreed to ALL the demands INCLUDING up to the day blood tests.

Which will never happen anyways. There are NO organizations who would subject their athletes to invasive procedures, such as blood testing knowing the medical risks involved. It's really not an issue PAC and his team knows they won't have to give blood the day of the fight which is why they have no problems with the cut off.

Floyd KNOWS! I give Floyd a little more credit than most. He's not stupid.

    Bballchump,

So you're saying that Pacquiao is better at 144 than Pacquiao is at 140... essentially, that means you don't want Pacquiao to bring the best version of himself into the fight. That also means that Marquez is now fighting the BEST version of Pacquiao, instead of the 2 versions he fought earlier on.

Remember, Marquez can come in at 135 and rehydrate all the way to 140s and be within 1 or 2 pounds of Pacquiao. Marquez won't have to bloat himself up unless he plans on weighing 144+.

The point is that Pac can bring the best version of himself to this fight and so can Marquez. There can be no excuses.

If that's the case, why didn't Pac fight Margo, Cotto or Oscar at their natural weights. Why did they come down in weight.
Think of that then that's your answer.

Oscar cherrypicked Pac thinking it would be a cakewalk dragging a guy up so many divisions. Cotto and Margo are both naturally bigger and much bigger on fight night. And Margarito was at 150 with Margarito coming in 17 pounds heavier on fight night. During non-training, Marquez actually looks to be slightly bigger than Pac. They are almost identical in size, though. Pac had the balls to go up in weight and take on bigger dudes.

so it makes sense that people wants pac to fight jmm a 3rd time then go down to 135 or 140 for it then go back up to 147 for a big fight with floyd?

yeah and marquez doesn't have the balls?

Manny is better equipped to fight at the higher weight classes than Marquez. Manny has a bigger bone structure also and is just plain out bigger Marquez.

But like I was trying to point out. Oscar, Cotto and Margo came down in weight to even the playing field. The higher the weight, the better it is for the bigger fighter

Much like how Ortiz is the most dangerous opponent Floyd has faced in 10 years, Bradley would be the most dangerous opponent Pac has faced in over two.

Pac doesn't have the long history of cherry picking that Floyd has, but anyone who tries to say he hasn't been cherry picking these last two years are just as blind as the *****s. Bradley would be a real opponent. The best one either has faced since this whole BS saga started.

Good point. IF Manny wanted a bunch of credit and a lot of props from me personally. He could have went to 135 and fought for the lineal belt of Marquez.
But I understand that it's not necessary and unreasonable like you said especially when he's going to fight at 147 next.
I think 140 wouldn't have been a problem though. Manny could have trained like he normally does, but just cut down the calories from 7,000 to 5,000 or even 6,000 a day
I saw it a while back comparing the two and why Manny can fight at higher weights than marquez.

I think it was in this article
