I like all of you am a Pacquiao fan but seriously I do feel although his opponents have large question marks and here is why Joshua Clottey - No credit to fight Manny Miguel Cotto - Damaged since his fight with Margirito Ricky Hatton - Late Career, Damaged since his beat down from Mayweather Oscar De La Hoya - Fought at 147 forcing him to drain himself David Diaz - Genuine opponent Juan Manuel Marquez (2) - Genuine opponent Marco Antonio Barrera (2) - No credit for a rematch Jorge Solis - Genuine opponent Erik Morales (3) - Completely drained Oscar Larios - Genuine opponent Erik Morales (2) - Weight drained Hector Velazquez - B class fighter but a good fighter none the less Erik Morales - Genuine opponent Fahsan 3K Battery - B class fighter but a good fighter none the less Juan Manuel Marquez (1) - Genuine opponent Marco Antonio Barrera (1) - Genuine opponent Emmanuel Lucero - Genuine opponent This is not a hate thread so no hardcore comments but I would just you to pay attention to the top half of the list as this is where Pacquiao has received alot of his credibility when I feel he should have this from the lower section. anyway all post your feelings on his opponents this is based on credibility of the opponent not the result. :hi:
Oh, I get it. All his opponents should be undefeated ATGs at their best age and weight. That's not unreasonable.
the funny thing is before the pac/clottey fight, clottey was regarded as the toughest and underrated boxer in the WW division, if pac fought him before cotto then people would of laughed thinking pac will get killed
well, a boxing editor must suppose to spell right "margarito" before others takes his opinion seriously. just my two cents.
But then again I am used to saying Margicheato so I apologise for my little "idon'tcareaboutthecheatingboxersnamemoment":!:
You must be trolling for reactions, so I'll give ya one. Who cares? A lot of boxers resumes look like this (some even worse). Pacquiao at least fought everything put in his way and tried to keep it exciting. The more popularity a boxer gets, the more the promoter tries to create "safer" money generating fights. I didn't want to see him fight Clottey, but it happened anyways. Why don't you go make a list of opponents he should have fought? Or list what rank you think Manny is, because that's also a wonderful waste of time similar to the list you produced. It's like you tried to make a list to convince yourself that Pacquiao isn't all he appears to be. You appear to be one of those "haters" that'll construct silly situations and facts to make a fighter (in this case Pacquiao, could be Mayweather, Ortiz, Hopkins, etc, etc). The credibility of the opponent fluctuates the most while a fighter's career is active, and is the worst indicator of who a fighter actually is. The best indicators can only be taken into consideration when the fighter has retired. He's taken on what's been put in front of him and that's the best we can ask for. Not this revisionist bull**** you're trying to offer up.
they're the best before pacquiao beat them.... and now they're all damage goods, class B fighters, wieght drained and past their primes...
you could have just said "margacheato" and i should have known that it was not an error. my say in This content is protected
From your Mayweather thread: Jose Luis Castillo (2) - Genuine opponent Jose Luis Castillo (1) - Genuine opponent Why is a rematch no credit for Pacquiao but a genuine opponent for Mayweather? I'm finding your little list heavily biased
