Arum is just a bigger version of him. That's it. But Arum played this **** perfectly. He has Pacquiao on effectively a 2 fight leash should he accept the rematch and if Pacquiao runs off, he now has the guy who Beat Pacquiao under contract. And he shot the potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight out of the stratosphere with the number of PPVs it would do. Like I and others have said, Pacquiao just lost himself at least $10 Million dollars if not much more behind this mess.
I don't get it... Can Manny PACQUIAO leave now? is his contract up? everyone saw him win it won't affect his career... he could join GBP, or make PACMAN promotions or something dedicate himself to BOXING 1000% **** politics and all these little thing he has going on, when you multi task you are average at many things instead of great at one.... Make loads of money, then retire rich take the money become governor then help his people.. he has much time he is what 33 that is still young... if he plays his cards right he can become bigger... PAC MARQUEZ 4 under his own banner would make lots of money and the profit won't be fore ARUM... Manny should be smart.
I agree he already has MP Promotions. He needs to be independent. Floyd even said this for Manny's betterment.
First off, Manny isn't smart. He's a nice guy sure, but he's as dumb as a sack of potatoes. He doesn't have copies of his agreements, he takes advances on his fights(which is exactly how Mike Tyson is now broke), and his manager is an employee of Top Rank which is a gigantic no-no. Add that in with the freeloaders and you have a disaster brewing. Secondly, according to Atlas(via Boxrec boards is where I heard this from) Manny's contract is up with the stipulation that if he was to rematch it would be handled by Top Rank. So yes, Pacquiao could leave but he would be leaving without a shot to avenge his loss. As for what he should do, he needs to go with his hat in hand to Golden Boy, drop the Mayweather lawsuit, ask for an advance/loan to pay back his other advance and tax issues, sign a 3 or 4 fight contract with them and plan to fight Mayweather in the Spring of 2013 after beating someone like Amir Khan or Ortiz sometime in November or December. Maybe him and Mayweather with Golden Boy's help have a dual header in the MGM, Mayweather vs Khan and Pacquiao vs Ortiz with the winners facing each other sometime between March and May 2013 But in terms of Money, the $40 Million is gone. He'll be lucky to get $30M after the loss.
