The obvious blue print to beat Pacquiao would be someone simliar to Mayweather. An amazing counter puncher with great defense and reflexes.

For the sake of boxing I hope they dont waste pac's remaining handful of fights matching him with slick safety first fighters...unless of course its floyd.

That's like saying Jake Shields, Josh Koscheck set the blueprint for the way to beat Georges St. Pierre, for not allowing him to look his best while getting outclassed and having the **** beaten out of them

Yes, this will be the blue print for ppl that dont want to get KTFO, not a blueprint to win

I have a sinking feeling that fighters may start resorting to this running tactic early in a fight from now on

    Why are you so butthurt?

The premise of the thread is if you think other fighters will copy elements of what Shane did. :patsch

Blueprint? You mean blueprint on not how to get knocked out?

I bet you Floyd will copy it.

Blows my mind how a lot of people think Pac got exposed on Saturday. His average punch output lowered because Mosley was back pedaling for dear life the whole fight. Pac's accuracy % was off from the usual also because Mosley was sitting back with a dodge/block first mentality instead of trying to hit the openings.

Because of the circumstances, Pacs stats aren't spectaular and people claim he got exposed? Funny.

If Mosley opened up, I truly believe he woulda got KO'd or stopped.

Totally agree...If Shane fought Pac the way he fought Floyd, Mosley wouldve been KTFO.

I disagree. Mayweather's usual potshot style will not be enough to beat Pacquiao. He knows this, which is why he is worried. He can make Pac look foolish with a straight through the pipe here and there, but Pac will keep coming. He is going to have to throw more or else Manny will out work and out hustle him and win on sheer activity. I think Floyd can make the adjustments though.

Mosley showed how to run, avoid engagement, and effectively lose every minute of every round. All the while still managing to to get dropped and swollen.

I guess if you are looking to lose a lopsided decision and damage your reputation as an exciting fighter... then it's a good blueprint to use.

And i agree with you. That's why the fight is so intriguing. It's a clash of styles. Can Mayweather's precise counter punches hold off Pacquiao or does he get overwhelmed. But if you had to pick a guy, Mayweather would be the closest thing to a blue print. If he threw more combos that would be better.

If only Pacman haven't suffered left leg issue starting round 4, I would have believe in this thread.

Pacman will only have problem with counter puncher.
