    Duran vs SRL
Duran vs SRL (No mas, no mas)
    SRL vs Hearns

I watched them live in a showroom of an appliance store in Makati City (business district in the Philippines).

    This is a FAIL thread.

    Whitaker/Chavez? That's your barometer?
Try Hagler, Hearns, Leonard, Duran, then Tyson, Holyfield. The Philippines had Espinosa, Navarette, Penalosa and many others. Pacquiao is a recent star relatively speaking.

Have a look at google trends, before the De la Hoya fight.

Nobody, in Asia, or America, could give a crap about Manny Pacquiao before that night.

Pac was already a star even during his FW days. So maybe you are just not aware of him during that time.

I've followed boxing since the Bowe-Golota Riot. Interest died down since the HW died down (last match watched was Lewis Tyson)

Honestly I've really only followed Pac since the Jorge Solis fight, though I've heard of him (yeah, he destroyed in the Lewis Tyson undercard, I know) .

Can't be that bad, right? Better than Martinez fans who didn't know him until he lost to PWill what 2 years ago?

And the dumbasses (you know who you are... dumbasses) who think Philippines only watched boxing after DLH don't even know they have a damn shopping mall named after Ali. Boxing's the 2nd most popular sport there after basketball.

was always following Espinosa's fights since 1990's. I just got to follow pacquiao's fights when I saw him at blow by blow, who gave us viewers the excitement and KO-replays than what Penalosa bros were doing.

TS just wants to know who among us followed boxing when pac came into scene, well nice try bro.
