I just can't understand how heated people get about a fighter they like / dislike!!!! I was the same with Hatton, but have chilled, taken stock and enjoy the sport for what it is again.... and in my view the best sport in the world! Ok have you favorites, but no need to detract from other fighters..... and for the record, no fighter who gets in the ring is a bum!

I don't punch or get punched by people in my/their head to make a living, but I do box.

I know what it is like to be sparring, be in their with a guy better skilled, know you have NOTHING in the tank, and know you have 3 minutes to deal with this dude. It is a sick depressing disturbing feeling, but I have NEVER felt like my life or livelihood were in immediate danger.

I also bang bags with (itty bitty) 12oz "old school" bag mitts on. It feels like nothing after using my 14 and 16 oz gloves from the "padding" aspect. Those guys are fighting with full gloves that weigh 8oz. Their lives are literally on the line.

So I can feel the issue from both sides, why a guy would take PEDs and why a guy would want assurances nobody was taking PED's. Any man in there has a right to ask for the things FMJ asked for. If everyone is clean? There would be no problem making that money.

In this situation I just really don't see anything that he has done wrong.

Some criticizims

-- He went too far talking about Mosley in this last fight
-- His trash talk ain't as "witty" as he would like to think it is
-- He could "go for the kill" more often (but I ain't complaining)
-- He should make a "reach" before he goes with a guy like Martinez or Williams because honestly nobody (sane) thinks ANYONE at WW can beat him. (Though I won't hate/blame him if he doesn't.)

I agree with everything you said. Those are also my criticisms of Floyd. I also hated that he retired after fighting Hatton instead of fighting the two people that everyone wanted him to fight: Cotto or Margarito.

But he seems to be coming back in full swing now...even his style in the Mosley fight was impressive. I don't think I had ever seen him use that guard before.

I also have no qualms with him demanding drug testing. It pisses me off to no end how Pacquiao just didn't agree to the tests...there is no good reason, IMO.

I like making fun of Mayweather cuz of the ridiculous stuff he says, though

 

so, they can't be a fan of his because they are new to boxing or they should learn about boxing first before they can be a fan of anybody?....or what?

 

What about blacks that are new to boxing who just started following Mayweather just because he is black? Do Floyd fans (not *****s) have a problem with them?
